rachaele1, Please donot be discouraged, you have no restriction yet! I had my first fill on 4-13-09, and today I am just begining to feel a little bit of fullness when I eat! My doc told me to not expect great restriction until I begin to hit that sweet spot, green zone whatever u choose to call it! I work w/ lady who at 7 mos post op had not lost but 15-20 lbs, then she hit her sweet spot, and on her 1 year bandversary she had lost right at 70lbs., it is just extremely different for every single person! First fill went wonderful, I have a 10cc band and they added 4cc, don't feel any restriction, took less than minute and half to do the fill, I was amazed! Are you continuing to lose? Going to prison this weekend, doing ministry work, reuniting kids w/fathers fixing to be released, God is so good to give us more chances in our lives! Gotta run, where does the time go? Nancy

Ok, when was your surgery? How much have you lost on pre-op and how much since surgery? So here is the deal, I weighed exact same as you 213, I lost 14lbs. on pre-op diet, (surgery 3-17-09) and I am at 4weeks and 2 days post-op, and have lost 7lbs since surgery, my weight is 192 now, but I think we will not have huge weight losses until we hit that green zone or sweet spot! Be patient, it did not take us a month or two to get where we are at, and will take more than month or two to loose all this junk! It is probably much healthier for us to loose a little slow to start and give our bodies time to recover from surgery! May God give you strength and patience for the duration of this battle! Nancy

Ok, the fill was a breeze, little prick, less than 1.5 to 2 minutes, I have a 10cc band and they put 4cc in, go back 5-11 for 2nd one! The hunger is subsiding little each day, doc requires us to do day of fill, liquids only then next day pureed, next soft foods and the 4th day back to regular foods! I have lost a total of 21lbs, 7 lbs. since surgery, should get a little more now until hit that sweet spot which I am saying I am going to hit that sweet spot w/only 1 fill, this fill!!!!!!!!!!!! Have u had first fill? What is ur total weight loss so far? Gotta run, Nancy

Hello, I was banded 3-17-09 by Dr. Adam Smith, same office as Dr. Ferrera, have my first fill 4-13-09, no complications so far or issues and donot anticipate any! I am curious about the progression of your weight loss, I lost 14lbs on pre-op diet and have only lost maybe 5lbs since surgery, my first fill is in 2 days, and I have been starving? Do both these things seem normal from what you remember? Your weight loss is wonderful! The docs had me doing my blood sugar 3 times a day and have stopped all of that, so lets hope that u will not have to do that indefinitely!!! Ok, I am curious what is SAHM? Oh, hello! When did u get banded and has it helped your diabetes yet? I was on a restricted diet to help stabilize my blood sugar but had not yet been called diabetic, and they have been good for about 5-6 months now, as well as cholesterol, still on meds for right now for that until see dr., but thats just after losing 21lbs, so i know that this is a wonderful thing! Hello, I got that no booty thing going on also! Maybe I'll have a j-lo butt adjustment surgery too! lol I have had no issues or complications at all w/band, how ever had an allergic reaction to stuff they clean belly w/for surgery, had to have a steroid shot week later and that took all the swelling away, which is your restriction after surgery, so been starving but hadling it, still loosing so not complaining! I call this drive thru surgery, had surgery at 8 am left hospital at 10:30 am! haha Who is your Dr. or surgeon? If don't have surgeon yet, check out Fort Worth Lap Band, Dr. Adam Smith, he is the priemere surgeon for this! Good luck on your journey and may the favor of God be with you! Nancy

Hello, when did u have surgery? What day post-op are u begining to excercise! I also work for public school sysytem in TX., my surgery was 3-17-09, lost 14 lbs pre-op and only 4 lbs in 13 days post-op! How many calories do u figure u eat a day now? I know I am consuming 350 calories a day just in liquid protien bullet and 1 protien shake a day, not much more in food! I got to do soft canned meats and fruits after 1 week, at 2 weeks get to move to fresh meats, veggies and fruit! Bell just rang gotta run! Nancy

Pezo call your doctor, u should not have been sent home without nausea medicine of some kind, the throwing up can mess up the band!!! Don't wait do it ASAP!

OK, I am so glad to hear someone say that they are hungry! I am 14 days post-op, and I am working hard at eating 1/2 cup food 3 times a day on will power! My first fill is scheduled for April 13, and it can't get here soon enough! I have only lost 5 lbs since surgery even on no food! I am consuming 350 calories a day on 1-protien shake and the bullet of 42g protien! I feel like I am starving about 1/2 the time!

I am posting here also just in case you donot see post on the other thread! What have you eat for the last 10 months to lose 90lbs? OM you are doing wonderful! Had my band surgery 3-17-09, lost 14lbs on pre-op, have not weighed since surgery! Post-op tomorrow! Nancy
