Thanks Amy:smile2: I think I will just try to be more patient and more diligent for another week before I go to see about a reduction in my fill. I do have another concern though. My weight loss has stalled since the fill. I had stalled for a couple weeks prior to the fill but then lost 2 pounds in 2 days right before the fill. Now nothing in over a week. Am I asking too much of my weight loss? The doc said after the fill I should expect another rapid loss for another 20 pounds loss by Sept 1st. Whadda ya think? ps: nice to hear from someone from my neck of the woods:smile2:

How do I know if my band is too tight and may need to have some saline removed? I had my first fill 1 1/2 weeks ago and everything I eat seems to feel like it gets stuck in my throat. Talk about PAIN! I cant get any meat protien down, not even my friend chicken. I have been very careful to chew thoroughly and slowly making sure my bite sizes are small and it still feels stuck and wont go down or up. Even tomato soup the day I recieved the feel got "stuck". I had 2cc placed in my band at surgery and my first fill was another 2cc. I go back today to see about taking some out. Is this normal, am I just being a wuss? Should I give it more time before I go through having them take some out? I am just so tired of getting sick every day and before the fill I have NEVER gotten sick from anything and felt I had decent restriction. Please help, advise would be great! Thanks:confused:

Hello all! I am having lapband surgery tomorrow morning and am scared, worried and unsure :rolleyes2:. I am terrified of surgery (scared I wont wake up & when I do how much pain there will be). I am worried that I wont lose the weight and be a failure statistic, and unsure that I am making the best decision for my weight loss. I have thought about weight loss surgery for the past 10 years, since my mom got gastric bypass. I have always been the "skinny one" in my family at 5'2" and 214. My mom, sister, aunt & cousin have all had gastric and have had success and are happy with their decision to have surgery. I know I WANT this but scared about all of the "what if's". I am private pay and worry too about additional need for surgery to correct problems. I guess I am just looking to connect with lapbanders, perhaps even in PA where I am from, to help me through the jitters. My Doc's office has a lapband support group but because of my work & school schedule I have been unable to attend. Thanks to everyone for your posts! They truely have been an excellent way for me to stay informed and feel positive.

Thank you everyone! I am starting to finally get excited again. I am still scared about the being put to sleep thing, but I realize it is the anethesiologists job to wake me up! This is just a small obstacle to overcome to be on the path to FINALLY losing weight and keeping it off not to mention improving my health. I will post again as soon as I can as I am not sure if I will take my laptop with me to the hospital. Thank you again for all of your support and understanding!

Hi All! I live in the Harrisburg Pennsylvania area and am considering Lapband through The Weight Loss Clinic in Hbg, Pa. Is anyone here familiar with this practice? I have my first appointment with them tomorrow and am looking for anyone who may be familiar with their work and/or reputation. I have soooo many questions and would feel better about asking them from people who have had the experience first hand. Is anyone here from my area? I live in Duncannon and would really like to find a friend/mentor/tutor.:thumbup:
