Well ladies I left my keyboard in KC, so I can only use roomie's for now. It's being sent though, so it should be here soon. NOLA is great, love it, job hunt tomorrow, lots of craziness. I will check in when I'm keyboarded. PS can't change ticker, but wt is at 262 this am. -c

Hey Angela, Actually, your worst-case scenario might actually be the best-case scenario... Tomorrow I'm busy until 6, Tuesday it looks like I might be booked up all day, Wednesday I'm booked up all day, and Thursday is my last day in town, so I'm definitely all booked up. It's an insanely busy week. Picking up the bag from your DH's work might be easiest on both of us. Let me know what you think. Cate

I am absent!! Crazy busy, and anytime I'm not, I just want to relax. Tuesday... we can play it by ear? I want to see you guys, I just forgot I had already made plans for happy hour... I will let you know if I find anything out. I got a haircut today... Check it out! (plus see my new hat) BTW angela... We should plan some sort of bag exchange, because I probably want to pack in there probably... Let me know what is convenient for you.

I've definitely had dreams where I drank a bunch of diet coke, or eaten junk food.

Cynthia, I am soooooooooooooooo proud of you. Look at it this way: I (unbanded) lost 18 lbs. in 6 months... You, unbanded, have lost 40-50 lbs. (Don't remember exact #). I know you are going through a tough time, but you need to remember all your accomplishments. Maybe you should make a little "cynthia rocks" bulletin board. Put up index cards of your highest and current weight, along with pictures of each. Also maybe add in some inspirational thoughts (even just your own creations... like write down how you feel after a workout (i always feel invigorated and excited) so you remember how good exercise feels... or write down your losses from the beginning, so you remember how great it felt to get on the scale after a low-carb low-fat day with exercise and tons of Water, to see the weight had dropped!) I know you are going through lots w/ your band, but I really want to see you start commending yourself for all your hard work, and recognizing yourself for it. Also, there's a forum on here, life after lap-band removal, some users use zetacap or hoodia for an appetite suppresant. Maybe you could use something until you get (hopefully) re-banded, so you don't get off track. Remember every pound lost or maintained is a pound you DIDN'T gain. You are awesome, hon. Make sure you remind yourself of that. xoxoc

Since banding 5/2/06, I have lost 25.875 inches (I think, I may measure incorrectly), 5.5 in the last month. That, and I need to stop weighing daily!
-
Angela, I mean the needle sticks from my two fills. I can still see the tiny mark. BTW girls... I'm a drunky drunk girl right now. Last week before NOLA... Yikes. Happy hour started at like 5pm, and I'm getting home now and it's 130. Yikes! However, based on my PM weigh, hopefully I should be down a lb or so tomorrow, so my tradition of drinking too much wine = weight loss is in tact. Also... we should talk about next Tuesday.. I realized I am supposed to meet w/ my work girls for another happy hour.... which sometimes lasts until 130. Usually we go to the Brooksider bc we get free drinks (tab for 8 hours = $9). So maybe we could meet at slider if I can't make it to Buca? (Too drunk ) We can talk manana. But also all girls know about my WLS so openness is ok - I talked a lot about wt. tonight. Ok too drunky to continue - g'night girls. xoxo

Ok girls... so my new strapless bra has been bugging me... I kept on thinking, "it feels like its hitting an incision," but my incision is about 2 inches below where it hits. Then I looked closer, and I can see the two needle sticks from before right hwere it hits. So it's hitting my port! So for now I'm just hiking it up. It can't do anything, right? Cynthia.... I am so sorry. Hoepfully you can get Dr H & Billie to really battle for you. Keep on appealing as many times as you can. They really want you to succeed, and I'm sure they'll help as much as is possible.

Woohoo congratulations!!!

Ok now I'm back down to 269... Only 1 more lb. to go until I'm back to where I should be Doing 30 minutes of laps plus an hourlong swim aerobics class last night must have helped. Plus first day in a long time NO SNACKING. Hopefully I'm turning things around for myself :girl_hug:

Cyn- I picked a ticker here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight-tracker/ (there are other places) then when you are done, copy the code from the FIRST box in your signature. You access your signature by going to "User CP" then "Edit signature". Just paste it in there, and preview it to see if it looks right!

C 272 (+4 lbs. emmereffer) Honeymoon's over I think its finally getting to the point where I have to stop/slow on weighing.

I really like this cookbook. I constantly have the "asian sauce" on hand for my tuna steaks!
-
It actually has 5 calories per serving. Not a dealbreaker, but still

Hey girls know I haven't been on much, been busy, trying to get ready for NOLA. I hit up the LB sale today. I got a pair of jeans (sz. 20), and 3 tops (sz. 18/20, sz. 18, and sz 14/16). Hopefully it will be one of my last trips to LB (I am trying to survive on very, very little clothing)

I would recommend to be banded by Dr. Hoehn. I felt completely comfortable knowing he was operating on me, and I haven't had any problems with my post-op care.

Keep in mind that some of these (the chocolate bars in particular) are high-fat, so they are not to be constantly eaten. But I tried the chocolate w/ almonds tonight and thought it was good. No sugar or sugar alcohols! http://www.eatwellbewell.com/index.htm

Robyn I'm glad everything went well at your surgery. You have a lot of healing to do, so I hope you take it easy. I know the stress of all the pain and surgeries must have made things more difficult and stressful for you. Hopefully now you can just breathe out a big sigh of relief and let positivity reign

Forever-21 is a really cheap "normal" size store. Glad to hear today went well, Holli, Cynthia - I'll be thinking of you. Have a good 4th.
