they probably put those non slip socks on u anyway, i quit bringing slippers and robes cause with the iv lines and telemetry its too hard to wear a robe so if i walk the halls i just put another surgical gown on open to the front and they always give me the non slip socks. as far as the non flavored protien, i have never used it before, i was going to get it, but now my doc says i can use the pre made choc. eas myoplex that i have been using, he is also lettting us have v 8 juice and strained creamed Soup, so i would ask your doc. i have to have a phase 1 south beach Breakfast the morning before and then no more solids before surg, just liquids till mid. and I also have to cleanse with magnesium citrate ugh.>>> my final weigh in today i was down 3 lbs so at 221. keep me posted....~vicki

I have seen on the site that crystal light popcycles are a fovorite, also juice which will be diluted 1/2/& 1/2 with Water, broth, gatorade, sugar free Jello, and my pre op diet starts tomorrow and i already know it is south beach phase 1, i also need to bring my c-pap, so if you have one, bring it, they told me no c=pap, no surg....Oh and protien powder unflavored or citrus flavored...hope this helps, if u hear of anything else let me know cause i know we will get bored...lol I wish i could feel excited but im too scared, i dont work anymore, but i heard 2-4 weeks depending on what u do...good luck and keep me posted.

HOW MANY CARBS ARE WE SUPPOSE TO EAT POST OP, I DONT EAT ALOT OF MEAT, SO I EAT ALOT OF BEANS, BUT THE CARB CONTENT IS SO HIGH, I JUST HAD SOME REFRIED BEANS AND IT WAS LIKE 24 CARBS PER SERVING AND I COULD HAVE EATEN 4 SERVINGS AND THATS JUST ONE THING AND ONE MEAL? I THINK IM IN TROUBLE CAUSE I THOUGHT SOMEONE SAID 30 CARBS PER DAY, AND HOW DO U GET THE NET OR TOTAL CARBS? DUH, I FEEL SO STUPID.......THANKS VICKI~

dear cleo, good luck on ur journey tomorrow, you have found your revelation, and that is wonderful, i too have been looking for mine, i will have my surg. on 11/1 and having band removed as well, i like u am very scared and i am not young like most on this site, i am going to be 54 on the 22, so i pray God will grant me this gift and i recieve it without complications and i work with it in a way that will make him proud.. Dear Jay, You are not alone, i too am being revised from band to sleeve on the first and I am so scared, my boyfriend ( feel funny saying that, since i am 54yrs old) is giving me a hard time and saying things like something could happen, it s non reversible, your too old..blah, blah blah....I end up doubting my decision and wonder if i am being extreme in my decision. but then i remember what it was like before i lost my initial 60 lbs with the band and i could never go back to that. i have had a prolapse and a revision of the band and in the last 6 months gained back 40 lbs of the 104 i initially lost and i know if i dont do something, i will be back to where i was 2 1/2 years ago...i feel like screaming when he starts on me day after day, but i have to have faith in God, my surgeon and myself. Our old friend pizza will hopefully be replaced by something much more healthy, and just as satisfying..stay strong and do what you believe is right for you and you can always call on me and everyone else on this site for support if your not getting it at home...hugs to you, keep me posted and i'll be thinking of you on our surgery day...lol ~vicki~

I had a revision done in Feb. due to a prolapse of my band and i am now going for vsg on nov 1st after gaining 40 lbs back. good luck on whatever you decide, I went to a support meeting last nite and they said the band will be obsolete in about 5 years...

Are you on medication, antibiotics etc, it could also come out in your urine and sweat. your body is going thru so many changes, hormonally and this too could cause it, i wouldnt worry to much, but it it continues and your concerned talk to your doc about it...

I WAS TOLD THE STATS AFTER RNY IS 75% WHO GAIN THEIR WT BACK....I COULNT BELIEVE IT! IF THIS IS TRUE AND I DO KNOW SOME BYPASS PEOPLE DO GAIN WT BACK, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO US SLEEVERS? WE DONT HAVE MALABSORPTION OR DUMPING SYNDROME, SO WILL WE HAVE INIATIAL LOSS'S WITH REGAIN? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE STATS ARE, OR IS IT TOO SOON. I AM DUE TO BE SLEEVED AFTER A FAILED BAND X2 AND AM REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS....MAYBE IM CRAZY, I DONT KNOW...LOL
