Wow, cant believe it, had my final weigh in today, got my pre and post op directions...started phase 1 south beach on monday and was down 2 lbs this morn...its real now, Aug 1st, 1 week from today is my date....getting really nervous now...going from sleeve to RNY....

I had the sleeve, and now I am having bypass for just that reason, I have reflux so bad..so, 1 wk from today is my surgery...dont want to go for multiple surgeries so take your doctors advice and go for the bypass....

I thought this was a forever surg. and now i see post about a window of 12-18 mos.. what does this mean?

My surg is 1 week from tomorrow....I was having a sleeve gone wrong surg and decided I am tired of bands, sleeve, and I just want to get this done and done right, so GBS it is...last weigh in tomorrow and a week to learn all there is to know...

I also use the eas carb advantage shakes and atkins bars are good

Just wondering if I am the only revision from sleeve to bypass....I wish i could connect with someone who has or is going to go thru this...anyone? Feeling so alone...

Oh, I see, so the wt will come off easily as long as you dont eat really bad, but after 18 months, continue to work with the bypass to keep it off? does the malabsorption go away, does the pouch stretch much?

Seen the dr. today and changed my (fix my sleeve. Neofundus ) to go to gastric bypass...I've always been so scared of GB, and still am, but I've been thru so much with the band and sleeve, that I am just happy to finally be ending this nightmare of pain, reflux, and wt gain....started phase 1 south beach today, will do liquid diet 24 hrs before, and a bowel prep..ugh...lol....

same thing happened to me when I was sleeved, she lives right next door to me and she hasnt talked to me in almost 3 yrs,...I was so upset for so long, and now Im glad to rid myself of toxic people, they will only drag you down....she said the same things to me...almost word for word! move on, I learned who my real friends were, they will lift you up...she is not a true friend...

when is your surg? maybe u have a UTI, if you have a week or two they can give you antibiotics to clear it up before your surg...good luck, hope all is well...

I thought when u had bypass you could never fit much, is that no true?

well I guess I am what you dont want to be, I had a band, had my band repositioned after it prolapsed...( it never worked again after that) ...got sleeved on november 1st 2010, and here I am, going for the gastric bypass next thurs...I just want this rollercoaster nightmare over...do it right the first time and get it over with..I was 51 when I started this and now I am 56 and still fat and miserable..wish I would have done this 5 yrs ago.....

I agree, I feel like the wight loss guinea pig!! ive had the band, then the sleeve, well, sort of a sleeve since he didnt do it right, and now hoping he will do the bypass...ugh..im so over this crap...just want it done and over already! thnks tiny, i feel better now....LOL...
