    Steri-strips

I agree with Jaffe -- call your doctor and ask. Mine were also taken off at the first post-op appointment, even off the one incision that I was told was "extra" large (had three steri-strips!) Since then I have been applying Triple-Anti-B cream to the incisiions and they are healing very well.

I think if you had made your band slip, you would know it (others, don't you agree?). At any rate, you will know on Jan 30th. PLEASE post after your fill so you can tell us how it went.

I beleive several other members of this forum that the three surguries in one year is quite the rare occurance. Keep reading more of the other posts and I think you will become less frightened.

    Hello!

Well first of all, congrats on the 50 pound loss! No matter how much the band "helps", to lose 50 pounds is always hard and a great accomplishment. I look forward to hearing more "hints" from you as to how you achieved this great result. And of course, also hearing more success stories! :cursing:
  5. What I needed was a letter from my doctor showing that she had put me on two different weight loss drugs (I think Topomax was one, the other name escapes me just now) and also "vouched" that I had been on a 1500 calorie diet under her supervision and had attended Weight Watchers (which I did - ONE TIME). That worked for me, but I have different insurance than BC/BS.....

    New member introduction.

Hi Tiffeny -- and all I had my surgery exactly one week after yours and would also like any hints and helpful info that people who have have the surgery can give me. I have not had a fill yet and so I'm still pretty hungry most of the time -- for those of you who have had fills, do the hunger pangs go away completely or just miderately enough to be bearable?
  7. If feel sure you can do this -- or, put another way, if I can do this, ANYONE can! :cursing: I am three weeks post surgery and find all is going well. I have also had to deal with the "growling stomach" syndrome (see a previous post) but every day it seems to get better. I just ate a very very smal bowl of mashed potatoes [made with Smart Balance butter substitute and Milk-Plus (high protein) milk] and not only was I full, it tasted better than ANY mashed potatoes I've ever had. This is not to say it has been or will be a complete 'bed of roses" -- but you seemed determined, you seem to have a religion to rely on, and now you also have members of this chat room for support. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!
