  1. Ok heres my question. Is it possible to loose without getting fills. The reason i ask is ive lost a fair amount of weight since my post up diet. I have never had a problem loosing, just keeping it off. Im pretty motivated to start exexrcising and getting in shape. The band so far has gave me a great start. I just dont see the point in getting fills if you are loosing and can keep loosing comfortably. I know its there if i need it and i know i will need it to keep the weight off, but not so much to take it off __________________

    Just NOT Working

It sounds like you might not be getting enough calories. If youre working out that hard you need more calories. Your body might just be hanging on to every calorie. Now run this by your doctor but you might need to up your calorie intake to about 1000-1200. Even with the lapband the same rules apply towards exercise and fuelling the body. Plus maybe try weighing yourself once a week. I know for me it would drive me crazy if i stepped on the scale everyday.

    Post-Op Blues

I understand you completely. I was banded on 7th of July. My Dr. put me on this crazy 7 day clear liquids diet. 3 tlbs isopure 3tlbs broth and 3tlbs jello. I was dying by the 3rd night. I regretted doing this whole thing. Youre not alone alot of us feel the same way. If you really get down call youre dr. ask if you can modify your diet. Thats what i did and i feel a whole lot better.

    Help Me Please!!!

Ok got a really serious question hopefully ill get some help. I have Aetna Choice Pos. I have to do the 6 month supervised diet. Now heres my question i have been told by both my pcp and the surgeons office that the first visit to your pcp counts if you got weighed and discussed a diet and execise plan. Yet i have have been reading on the forum that the first consultation does not count. I called the insurance company and nobody knows anything. Second question i did gain some weight on the diet. I started off good then fell off. Its hard when the wife is pregnant and cooking up a storm. Plus along with some financial issues a diet really took second fiddle. So will that get denied that i gained weight or do they just want to see that i went all six months. Any and all advice or opinions will be greatly appreciated.

    Help Me Please!!!

You guys are the best. Thank you all.
  10. Hi, i play football. Actually i play flagfootball. My question is even though flag football is no where as physical as real football, sometimes you do get hit and you do fall alot. Would being banded hinder my playing football or doing any other contact sport.
  11. Hello everyone. I have kinda of a problem and i need some help. I have to do the 6 months of supervised diet. Im on my second month. Now my doctor is really getting on me because im not loosing weight. I havent told her that the surgeons office told me not to loose weight because the insurance would not pay for it. If this has happened to anyone plaease help with some advise. Should i loose some weight or stay the same. Its a embarrasing getting on that scale and having the doctor give me dirty looks like im not trying.

    New to the forum

Hello everyone. I just have a couple of questions. My sister-in-law had the lapband procedure done about 2 1/2 months now. She has lost a fair amount of weight, enough where she convinced me to go to a seminar. I liked what i heard, i did a little research and now im currently working on the things that my insurance needs to cover the procedure. Ok now on to the question. The only problem that i see is that the area where the port is located is very sensitive. Does this go away with time? Are u able to do physical sports afterwards? If so how long before you are able to do so? I would appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you
