Bunny Bandsters - April '09, MASTER THREAD #1
hopeful41411 replied to Band_Groupie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am glad to hear that some of you aren't feeling any restriction either. I can pretty much eat anything as long as I chew it well. It kinda stinks! My first fill is next Tuesday and I hope it helps tame my hunger. I am hungry all the time! -
anyone have a feeling of dizziness
hopeful41411 replied to sandi1011's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm experiencing this same thing. I have vertigo, but it normally goes away after a day or two. Just assumed it was my vertigo... now you've got me thinking. I haven't asked my doctor's office yet. Guess I should. Keep me posted on what you find out. -
Well I am getting banded on April 7th! Anyone else? I'm excited and nervous, but know that the future is going to be terrific! I've got nutrition class this Thursday, pre-surgery admission stuff on the 11th, and start the liquid diet for 2 weeks starting on the 19th. Time is going to fly! Does anyone remember where the post was about what to get/bring before the surgery? Andrea

Can someone please update me on here? I am currently 260.8. My band is not working at all! I can basically eat anything with minimal problems. I can't wait for my first fill! Right now losing 18 lbs. seems like a huge challenge! -

Yep Jen, I was given a binder to wrap around my entire stomach area. I had one with my c-sections too. They feel really good. -

What about wearing your binder under your clothes? It should help the pain. GL to you! -

Good luck to everyone tomorrow! I went in for my 2 week post op appt. I learned that I have a 10cc band which he normally fills with 3cc during surgery. I got to feel where my port is, but still haven't seen the doctor. My mushies are progressing, so I'm looking forward to some other options. My first fill will be May 19th. I was also excited to learn that the office has later appts on Tuesday nights, so I won't have to take any more time off of work  Tomorrow will be a month since I took my pictures, so I took them today. I still have to take my measurements. Here they are. My first pictures are on page 5. -

Thanks Kaner! That's reassuring to hear you've had the same pain and that there's a good reason for it. My next appt is on Tuesday. I am interested to see what my doctor and dietician will say. I have zero restriction so I'm looking forward to getting a fill already. -

Thanks emjay! Fun to see we have similar numbers! Are any of you having some major pain when you bend over top pick stuff off the floor? I have some serious pain in the muscle right by the port. I hope nothing is seriously wrong. I wear my binder at home, but not at work. Just curious... -

So I'm past a week post op and ate some mushies. I also got brave and ate some chicken. No problems at all. I have no restriction though. I chewed the life out of it and it was fine. A bit scary though because I feel like I could eat anything. My first appt is next Tuesday. I haven't lost any more weight, but haven't gained either. -
Random question, but I was just wondering. It sounds really good! Just wanted to know if popcorn is possible. TIA!

Surgery went well. I'm almost a week post op. Still on the liquid diet and kinda getting sick of it. I'm down 21 lbs. though so not complaining. I am going back to work tomorrow.
How was your cruise?!

JayTee, congrats on already losing 38lbs! How'd you do it? So I'm hungry tonight :cool2: That must be a good sign. Still lots of gas, but I can tell the difference between hunger and pain. -
I am experience blurred vision and my pupils will not shrink when in the light. It's now night time and I am 3 days post op. Have any of you experienced this? Or does anyone know what this might be associated with? Thanks! Andrea

Thanks for the advice KMCD! It sounds like it's nothing permanent, so that's good. -

Jersey, glad you were able to get banded! How are all of the bunnies this morning? I am off of all pain med. Took my patch off too. Last night I experienced some major blurred vision. My eyes were totally dilated even in the light. It was pretty weird. It's better today. Anyone else experience that? Also, are there any of you who just can't bring yourself to eat? I have NO hunger and only ate part of 3 of my liquid diet packets. I'm suppose to eat 6 of them. -

Not as dilated today, but still kinda fuzzy in my eyes and head. Hopefully that's a sign it's getting better! I appreciate everyone's help. It kind of scares me. I will have to look and see what the name of my patch was. I never filled the script for more. -

I also had the patch on until today. I took it off this afternoon.
