Starbucks Coffee Anyone?
hopeful41411 replied to hopeful41411's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well the skinny lattes were super good! Had one with the vanilla and one with the hazelnut. It's definitely do-able! -
I am addicted. I'm great about getting it decaf and nonfat, but still hooked non-the-less. So what's my best bet if I get something? I am not a fan of straight up black coffee. Love all of the iced drinks. I know I'm not suppose to drink my calories, but this is definitely a weakness for me. Any thoughts? TIA!

That explains why the white mocha is my favorite winter and summer drink! ha ha ha Once I scoped out the calories and fat I knew it needed to go... non-fat, no whip or not! Thanks for all of the great suggestions Christan! I know I'm jonesing now, so I'm going to start with the skinny latte tomorrow. -

Had my next fill today! 6cc's in the band, so she added 1 more... now at 7cc. Hopefully this will be a little bit closer! They are going to stop doing a full cc pretty soon. I got a nurse that didn't do as good of a job, which kinda stunk. Also I had a low platelet lever, so hopefully everything is ok with that. I'm going to call my regular doctor to make sure everything is good. -

BG, I like your new pic! Is that you? I like the bangs. I'm turning 30 in December and I'm starting to get some grey hair, so I'm going to get a new do and start highlighting it or highlighting. I'd love to see how you do your bangs! I currently don't have any, but want some sweepy side ones. -

Pain on left side- what is it?
hopeful41411 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm three months post op and have been having a pain on my left side. It feels just like after you exercise (walk/run really hard) and your side hurts. Does anyone know what this pain is? It just started this last week. If I lean to my right it makes it feel better. Weird, huh? TIA! Andrea -

Concerned with my hair loss, anyone else has this problem?
hopeful41411 replied to EmmaWang's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me too! :thumbdown:The first time I discussed it with my doctor's office they said it was no big deal. I planning on talking with them again soon because it has continued. I get all of my Protein in too. Curious question... not even sure that it's related, but how much milk do you drink? -
I am on bp meds too. Maybe that's the problem!

Restriction= Full or just lots of pb/sliming?
hopeful41411 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on April 7th and have had two fills. I'm now at 6.75 cc of a 10cc band and starting to have some problems with breads. Have you completely sworn off breads? Will I ever have that full feeling? I really don't feel full at all. liquids can seem to fill me up, but I'm following the rules and not drinking before, during, or after I eat. How many of you still feel full a lot, but just have problems with bread? That stuck feeling alone makes me want to stop eating. Any advice or experiences you have had would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Andrea -

Not hungry is a much better way of putting it Jacqui! That's what I meant. I don't need the stuffed feeling... just don't want to have that hungry all the time feeling like I do. Take right now for instance. I just ate about an egg and a half (scrambled) with a little cheese and imitation crab meat about an hour ago. I'm already hungry... will the band ever help that go away where I feel hungry so quickly after eating? -
I had it pretty bad for several weeks. It's still here, but not as bad. I talked to my doctor's office and they assured me it wasn't from my band. Did you lose quite a bit of weight on the pre-op surgery? I personally think the rapid weight loss for me was a huge part of it. Hope you feel better soon!

Hey everybody! I had my second fill today, so I now have 6.25 cc's in my 10cc band. I was down three lbs since a month ago. Hoping with this fill or the next one in four weeks I'll start to see some restriction! Have a great weekend! -

Sorry it's been so long! I have been reading, but not posting. I am in the last two weeks of school, so super busy. My weight loss hasn't budged, but I am in a pair of jeans that I tried on a couple of weeks ago that were too snug Super excited about showing those off tomorrow! So I guess I have lost some inches. My next fill is June 19th! -

JayTee, that does suck! Mine isn't that strict either. I just hope I don't mess things up by eating some of those things. The only one I've really stuck to well has been no pop. I'll bet you'll lose a lot of weight though  -

LisaMarie I am jealous of your 2 ccs! I just had my first fill tonight and only got 1cc. My band was filled with 4 and a quarter cc, so I'm not at a total of 5 1/4 cc. They will only do 1 cc at a time, but I can go again in 4 weeks. It was kind of a weird feeling. They said my dizziness is probably not related to the band. And the pain is probably just a muscle pull. She did feel a bit of swelling. I do have to say that getting a fill kind of feels like a new lease on life! I've been able to eat anything I want pretty much, so I'm glad to know that I have more restriction now. Here's to more weight loss!!!! -
Pain in port area?
hopeful41411 replied to SunnyUT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the same pain. I had it a few weeks after surgery and it went away. Now I'm experiencing it 6 weeks post op. It happens when ever I bend over or twist certain ways. Bending over is super hard. I've been picking up my kids too and they are both little, but one weighs more then 24lbs. -
