Wow...all these pics of scars and I feel lucky...I am only about 6 weeks post op and my scars are actually not bad...I only have four incisions and 3 of those you can hardly see and are very small the port incision is only about and inch and half long and is a pretty straight line...it is still a little red on the edges but i use vit E on it daily....and it really doesn't bother me....all my incisions are above my belly button some people seam to have some lower scars on their belly's i wonder why the difference in incision spots....
  2. I got the band less than two months ago and I have had two fills for a total of 2.25cc in a 10cc band and I feel the same way...I can eat anything without problems and I keep telling my doc that I am starving and can eat all day if I chose too....but she is not concerned since I have lost 43 pds, thats only because since I spent so much money I have been trying very hard not to eat alot however I did gain 4 pounds in the last week and a half and don't go for another fill for 4 weeks. It is very fusterating cause i can eat the same amount I did before the only difference is now I try to eat it over hours instead of one sitting....but somedays I just eat and eat. It drives me crazy...cause I am sooo hungry all the time!
  3. I just had my surgery on 2/26 my start wt was 308 and after my 12 day pre-op diet at surgery I was at 289. I am now done to 272 for a total of 36 pounds. I think everybody lose wt differently. I am still in pain at the port site but never thought about a stomach support, I was wondering how i will be able to return to a 10 hour day of work on Monday. I was doing okay on the liquids but since yesterday I feel like I am starving and only allowed a quarter cup of mushy foods just does not do it.... but I will say I ate a little more mashed potatoes then I should have and I paid for it big time.. I got really icky last night and was so glad i still had some anti nausia meds left i was able to take.... Reading all these post it seams everyone is a little different on weight lose and lenght of pain after surgery. But I have found a lot of comfrot in knowing I am not alone in my experiences.

I am so tired of liquids

I was banded on 2/26 and am still on liquids and am so tired of them and hungry. I finally got to start creaming soups and mashed potatoes yesterday and find the potatoes filling. But only having a quarter cup just does not fill me up. I do not get to move to solids until my 4th week. I have lost a ton of weight fast but can not weight to eat some real food that will actually fill me up.
  5. I am 9 days out from surgery and i have the same pain...and was not expecting to be hurting this much for so long... I am also sore in the port site sitting and standing sometimes walking... Yesterday i was able to lay flat and can lay on one side but still am more comfrotable sleeping on the recycliner. I wonder sometime how I will make through work on Monday. I still have pain meds but I stopped talking them about 3 days ago... I have pain but it is toleratable. I think for me I got very stressed and became an emotional wreck 4 days out of surgery when my husband walked out on me.... so dealing with the kids and the stress I think has added to my recovery time... I see the doc this Friday so I am hoping everything is still okay and I am just a slow healer... It is still very swollen in the port area only. hope this helps you some!

    4 days banded

I was also banded on 2/26. I am still sleeping in the recliner, but have noticed the gas pain as not been as bad the past two days. The only pain I have know is in my chest area when I breath and near my larger incision at times it feels like it is tearing so I just keep preasure on it when I move. I have been walking twice a day around the block and am starving at times but have not had any problems drinking my shakes. I am just worry about the pain in my chest area and whether or not that is normal or if i should worry that it is something else that is wrong.
