I too do not find many banders in my area, I am in the Portland area though. . I am 4 years post surgery now so I have been thru most of the issues and as we speak am up at 2 am with wicked acid reflux.. still can not tame that one.. but anytime you need to talk or some advice, message or forum. We are a unique bunch. -
Hi there. I wanted to share with you that frustration and set back feeling from a complete unfill . I have been there twice, mine was due to eating habits and overfills before I left on vacation. Big NO NO! I have gotten through it now and after being @ dehydration, point of malnutrition, and a out of state ER trying to figure of what a Lap band was, I was scared enough to get it together and start following rules. I also was so mad at myself for losing 150+ at that point and gaining back 70+ after empty. I now try to stay on track but still can not say I am perfect. I am a food addict . It is a rough road! Stay positive and be your biggest supporter.

Back online and with better results then I had to report a few years ago. I am under the big 200 now and although I have plateaued for a while here, I am so happy. This new freedom and life feels great! Looking forward to hearing from members now that I have the app to make it easier to contact...

Hi. I am kinda new here so forgive me if I did this wrong. First, congrats on the banding! I was banded 11/24/08 and trust me, the bowels will start to work right again and you will start to feel pain relief after a week or so. At least that was my experience. I am having a hard time feeling restricted but the fills should be taking care of that soon.(ihope!). Congrats! I am so happy for you. I just got banded 11/24/08 and I am hoping for 100 lbs down by my bandiversary. -
Hey.. I have had 3 fills and I am at 6 cc in a 14 cc band and still don't feel restricted. I am going tuesday for another fill. I am anxious to get the weight moving off quick. The first fi hurt a bit but after that is wasn't bad.

I am so frustrated with making no progress! I was banded 11/24/08 and have lost 21 lbs. I have maintained the Same weight for over a month now. I have had three fills in a large band which I think holds 14 cc. I am at about 6 cc now. What the heck is going on that the farther out from surgery I get the more my appitite is and time til I'm hungry again is changing and NOT for the better? Anyone out there have the same issue? I want to be 100lbs down by my bandiversary.

Hello! I am new here, and got banded 11.25.08. I am needing support as my weight loss has stopped. I have had 1 fill, 2cc in a large band. Is any1 in this situation or have advice on what to do at next appt to ensure I get a bigger fill?
