ok.. I got my degree from Univ of North Texas... I always thought I wanted to be a band director.. because of my jr high band director... secondary was also my only choice as a wind player.... so when I did my student teaching, I realized that I was not comfortable on the podium AT ALL.... I wish I had more training in the elementary music pedogogies, etc... I would have loved to have gone in to elementary music. I spent some time teaching privately, working w/some wind sections w/some local high schools and also played in some community bands and orchestras... problem is that I am in south Florida and most of the community groups rehearse during the weekday.. when I can not be there... let's chat more, I'd love to connect w/a fellow musician and flutist...
