Hello!! Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, my computer was messing up!! Anyway, I had my surgery done by Dr. Oweiss from Northwest Surgical Specialists in Maumee, OH. He was wonderful and I do not regret my decision to have this surgery for one minute. It was the best thing that I could have ever done for myself!! I had my surgery done October 6, 2008 and I have lost 70#'s so far. If I do not lose another pound, it would still be worth it, but I do have another 65 to loose.......the band is amazing, as long as you listen to it. It does take some time to get used to it and know what your body is saying and what it needs!! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions or concerns!! Good Luck!! Amy

Hey there...I live close to Toledo, in Walbridge. I work at Bay Park Hospital and I also teach x-ray at Owens Community College. I had my band done in Oct. 2008 and I have lost 67#'s so far. I am sort of at a plateau right now and I am really frustrated. However, I havent really incorporated exercise as much as I know I need to. I would love to have someone to talk to!! Who did your surgery and where did you have it done?!?!!? -
Thanks for the encouraging words...I did have my first fill; but I havent noticed much difference, hopefully I can get another one in two weeks...I think I need it!!! Thanks for the posts and pictures!!! Its good to know that it may take several fills before I have the bigger loss!!! Thanks again!!!

First, you look amazing!! What an inspiration you are!! I am 4 months post surgery and I have lost total 51#'s and I cant seem to get past it!! I have had 1 fill; but I havent noticed much difference. I am scared that I will gain some of the weight back; did you ever gain any back while waiting for another fill?? Do you know if this is common?? Thanks again for all your posts and pictures!! Great idea to leave picture in your car!!! I am going to steal that if its ok!!

You are very sweet - I have never thought of myself as an inspiration. It sounds like you have done very well yourself without many fills - that is excellent. It took me several fills before I really noticed a big difference. Keep up the good work yourself - it will all fall into line soon enough.

You are my inspiration!! I was banded 10-6-08 and I have lost 50#'s so far....but, I have only had one fill, and I dont see/feel much difference....sorta bummed about that. I have gained a pound or two since then too. I dont go back to the Dr. until the end of March, so I guess I am trying to hold on. Thanks for your inspirational photos and stories!!

Hey there!! I am a newbie as well. I had my surgery on Oct. 6, 2008 and I have lost 49#'s so far!! I am thrilled:thumbup:....I just had my first fill last week, and so far, I am not noticing much difference in the amount or type of food that I can eat......any suggestions???
