Don't worry about the stress test. My Dr sent me to have a Dobutamine Echo Stress Test. They took a sonagram of the heart resting, then gave me an IV with medicine and it made my heart really race. They took another sonagram and then took the IV out and took another sonagram with the heart in recovery. Was a piece of cake. Did make you feel strange..We called it drug induced excerise..... I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I am a 55 year old female from Central NC and am in the process of going through my presurgery waiting. I am in my 5th month of a long 6 month insurance required diet and excercise Dr supervised program. I have currently lost 18 lbs and am praying the insurance co will approve me. I am hoping for an April banding..... I have Diabetes and Acid Reflux as well as Sleep Apnea. My goal is to get off the pills for Dia and AR as well as sleeping without my machine.....I would also like to lose a little weight..About 80 lbs would be nice....:tt1: Everything I have read on this forum sure is encouraging and makes me anxious to "Get R Done"....:cursing:

Not Yet...I have been to the surgeon last week for my second visit and still have 2 months of dieting and will be going to have my stress test and psycologist meeting. Dr Fernando out of Wake Forrest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem will be doing it. Am having to do 6 months diet and excerise for Cigna insurance..Am really looking forward to getting on with it...
