I am a 44 year old female with a BMI of 37.  I started nutrition/dr. visits in January and finished in April.  Met with surgeon and had EGD test that month.  Drs office filed first request and first appeal.  Insurance said my sleep apnea wasn't severe enough to be a co-morbity.  I then had another sleep study since it had been 20lbs and 4 years ago.  Obesity Law filed the second appeal with the new sleep study which was significantly worse.  I was approved within 3 days after they filed the second appeal.  Thanks to my doctor's staff and Obesity Law and Advocacy Center!
