Hi....has anyone out there that has been banded tried "Hot" yoga for exercise? I am still overweight (only been banded 2 months) and was wondering if being overweight makes it difficult to hold yoga poses. Thanks!

Pre-op frustrations
darthcandy replied to Mainehappymama's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on day 27 of liquid protein shakes (my doctor requires two weeks pre op and two weeks post op)!!! When I first started the liquid protein shakes I too gained a few pounds....I think it's because my body went into "starvation mode" for the first few days. Don't even worry about it...you will begin to loose weight within a week once your body gets used to the lower caloric intake. -

Centrum Adult Chewables-Orange Flavor...they taste like crap but they do go down easily and have a full day's worth of your needed Vitamin intake. -
9 days to go till surgery, I can't wait !
darthcandy replied to cdaemom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! Hang in there. I too have 9 days to go before surgery and this diet is really testing me. I had to go to a friends graduation party yesterday and it was catered by my favorite BBQ restaurant in town. It was soooo tough standing there with my bottle of water watching everyone eat and smelling the food. But I did not give in. Just remember it's all about the head hunger. We can do this!! -
Hi Everyone!! I was just approved for surgery yesterday and I have a surgery date of June 15, 2009. I am sooo thankful that my insurance is paying for this gift! My doctor requires all patients to have a chest xray prior to surgery. Can anyone explain why the need for this? Thanks!

Supposedly the doctors blow your stomach up with gas during the surgery...at least that is what I heard. The best way to get rid of the gas is to walk walk walk. Again this is what I was told by my recent doctor's visit...I have not actually been banded yet.
