  2. Happy 60th Birthday dfinnell!

  3. I had my surgery on 1/26. All is healing well. The doctor said not to expect weight lose right after surgery. I am a little concerned. I lost weight on the liquid diet but since being told by the doctor I can start eating regular foods, I find it hard to get full. I have gained a few pounds back. I eat oatmeal, protein shake, cottage cheese, tuna, cheese, beans yogurt and by 3:00, I am starving. Also 2 ounces is not enough, I am now eating 4 ounces. I was so hungry, one day, I stopped by the grocery and purchased some fresh salmon slivers and ate them on the way home. I tried to eat slow but I felt like a crazy hungry animal. I got sick by the time I got home. I know I cannot do that. The doctor said you do not get fills early after surgery so I go back on March 4 and I will insist on a fill. Has anyone else felt like me. I read where people are losing 40 pounds in 2-3 months. At my rate that will not happen. I would appreciate anyones story or advice to get me going down the right path

  4. Hi everyone. I am so excited about my upcoming surgery. I am now on my 10 day liquid diet and I am doing fine but every once in a while I feel if I could just lick a spicey taco or something salty I would be okay. But then I stand up and feel the pain in my knees, think about the cpap machine I use, think about the high blood pressure I have and say to myself, this diet won't be forever but losing weigh will and I can survive this. Any support is appreciated. Thanks, Deb
