I am up to my fourth fill. I have a 4cc band and I am filled to 4.25 (the doc says he can go up to about 5cc in a 4cc band). I am finally feeling restriction. I was pretty impatient for a while too. Best wishes.

I didn't get to do this challenge, but I am definately in on the next one. I just got a really nice recumbent exercise bike for the house. I am really excited about it.

Our support group has a clothing exchange twice a year. We have a bunch of tables with sizes and everyone brings in what they have and puts them on the tables.

I just found out that I cant do broccoli, even if it is cooked to mush. I was stuck bad the only 2 times I have eaten it. I guess if I really want broccoli, I will puree it and mix it into mashed potatoes.

My son is 10. He has known about this from the very start. I knew that this would be a challenging and emotional time for me. I told him that when someone you love is feeling weak that we need everyones strength to help them be strong. Once he realized that he was going to be a pillar for me, he told me it made him feel grown up.

Tantrums are allowed. I agree with maude...find the protein that you like and the exercises you like. Starting the habits early will make it easier when you are finally in bandland. Keep smiling, the time will pass before you know it. How about a hug.

I have noticed lately that when I look in the mirror, I still see the bubba me. (We use the word bubba instead of fat in my family) I am hoping that this is just a phase and I will soon see the new and much improved me. I know I am losing cause I see it in my clothes and on the scale but the old me is how I see my reflection (most of the time). Maybe she is there and will continue to haunt me to ensure that I am successful. What do you think?

I agree. That is most annoying and if she feels that she needs to compete, then that is her choice. But you are doing fantastic and you should keep that in mind. Have you tried talking to her to let her know it bothers you?
