That would explain all the problems she has been having for such a long time. Hopefully now she can get healthy and back on track. Thanks for checking into how she is doing. What a horrid experience.

Janet, You are right, we have to take care of our band so the band can take care of of us. I know that when I was vomiting blood I was terrified that I had slipped my band and before that I wasn't always being careful. Now I am totally listening. Yep I still sometimes each what I shouldn't, ice cream, but I work to NEVER over eat. I'm not perfect, but hell I know that I would never be able to convert to something else. But it is sad and scarey to see people we know have trouble.
Phyl, I am so sorry about Jackie. She is strong and a fighter. She is in my prayers.
I finally have made an appointment for a mammogram...don't yell, its been about 5 years....
Janet, I am in Helena, about 3 hours away from home. Sitting in a hotel. Did some homework. But at least it isn't 100+ degrees today. Warm, but not brutally hot. Now being a slug and watching TV. Phyl are you going to the docs tomorrow?
-
Linda, once I get back home I'll take some pics of projects, you need to send me your email because I can't figure out how to post them here. Helena is about 150 miles from my house. I got a late start this morning and made it in 2 hours, can we say flying low. It is 100 degrees here with super hot wind. So I got 4 hours of sleep last night got here 1 minute before class started and got done at 5 pm. The class is 4 days of 8:30 to 5, and have a 5 page paper to write by next Tuesday. So tonight I am going to drink an adult beverage, and sleep. I'm too tired to eat although I picked up a salad. Too hot. Guys I love you all, but tired, cranky, and stinky. I'll check in tomorrow!

Phyl, call your cardiologist just to make sure. I'd think you should be getting back on your feet by now. If you don't feel right there has to be a reason! Also I agree, it is okay to have different opinions, but is not okay to name call, etc. Hey I am a democrat and you are a republican, but I don't get my knickers in a twist when our political opinions differ. That is life. I am also sorry Karri left, but I am not going to appologize for my opinion. Of course now I'll get ripped againl oh well.
Candice, GREAT job going to the gym when you really didn't want to. Keep it up. I need to think about what I am going to do once winter is here, but right now I am too tired to think about it.
Well, work then laundry, then packing and getting ready to leave on Monday. I have to leave here by about 5:30 to make it to Helena in time for class. When I get back DD#2 and 'significant other' are here to put in tile etc. Elyse is staying with the furries and SUPPOSE to rip out the rest of the carpet...we will se if it gets done.
Check in later, TTFN

I forgot that Janet was off to stay with family, hope all goes well.
Candice, I know what you mean about some family members just wearing you out. Unfortunately one of my daughters, believe it or not, not Elyse, just drives us all to distraction. Everything is all about her. She must have gotten an over abundance of my mother's genes. Love her, but can't really stand to be around her.
Linda, you are doing great. Remember it takes time to recover from surgery and you had a big one. Baby steps. You will get back to your fighting weight before long. Just keep plugging along. Have you had Cora lately?
Gravel is finally all moved, now I am ripping out my carpet to but in laminet. I think Miss Molly may be banned from my bedroom. I discovered an area behind my bedroom chair that she has been using for a potty. NOT happy.
Had to make a mad dash into Missoula to buy a new washing machine yesterday. Didn't have that planned into the budget. Fortunately they can deliver it today so I can get my laundry done so I have clean clothes for class next week. By the way Candice thanks for all the encouragement for my masters. There are times like this next week that I wish I had never started. I think this whole year is going to be that was. Oh well.
Best be getting ready for work, have a glorious day!!
-
-
Cy, it sounds like you are doing the right things! I am a 'newbie', I got my band a little over 2 years ago and got on this thread through 'twilight'.
Janet, sorry I missed the surgery date the first time I read your post. Baby is due the middle of October.
Decided to not set the alarm and slept in until 9, being a slug I guess.
Next week I am in Helena for a class,
Well, best get cracking, I'll check in later when I take a break!
-
Janet, congrats!!! You earned it. We won't recognize you next time we see you! So when is the big day? I'd love to get rid of my gobbler neck. Unfortunately it is genetic and have it even when I am thin.
Candice, I like the ditty as well and hope Mark can grow up and be responsible. Some people take longer and some never get it figured out. I think Elyse is in the 'never figure it out' catagory. The BF isn't working and possibly will need back surgery (with what $$). Oh right, our taxes!
We had a nice rain shower last night with thunder storms. It was cosy to be snuggled up in bed watching the lightening and listening to the thunder.
Well suppose I should get cracking, need to wash dishes before I head to work, TTFN

Quick pop in, busy as usual, need to get to bed so I can get to work tomorrow! Sorry, so short!
-
Candice, what a gift you and the guys are! You make people laugh and fill their hearts with music. Life doesn't get much better! Great Job. ALSO Great job on the exercise and foods. Keep going!
Yesterday's food was okay. I haven't been eating enough Protein and it snuck up and bit be yesterday. Normally at lunch at work I have a Laughing Cow wedge with a couple of crackers and some fruit. Yesterday I had a huge craving for protein. So went to a near by gas station & deli and bought a chicken strip. I did peel off the breading and ate about half of it. dinner I came home and made a 'mexican pizza'. A flour tortilla with refried Beans a little sprinkle of cheese, onions and cilantro salsa. Tasted pretty darn good.
Work today and then need to weedeat the dog yard. then I think I will kick back a bit. I am a little tired, okay I am a lot tired.
I came up with a low cal iced coffee that it good. Strong coffee, splenda brown sugar, cinnimon, nutmeg, cloves simmer. The cool, pour over ice with a little skim milk. yummmy. Nice and refreshing.
Well need to get busy and ready for work. Phyl? Linda? What's up? Janet?

Janet, NOW I remember, but honestly I kind of keep my head in the sand. But I agree, she definitely killed the girl. God will deal with her eventually. I imagine the police and aterneies ( sp) are just sick. It would be enough for me to throw in the towel if I was them. What must her parents be going through. It sounds like they cared about the girl. Why didn't Casey just give her up for adoption? Nope Candice is right, there needs to be a campaign to bouycott any book she writes or interviews, etc. Like you said, the sad part is that she could totally confess to it now and no charges could be filed. Maybe the police are working on finding a different charge they could charge her with.
Janet, I am being supper careful, small loads and lots of back and forth. Also only working in the morning and evening. Hopefully in a couple of days I will have some pics to show you. I'll have to download my camera program to my new hard drive.
Congratulations ladies on being 4 years out!!! Keep it up. I know we get lazy about food, that's when I get in trouble, but you all are taking charge, GREAT JOB!!!!!!
-
So is Casey the one whose little girl..."disappeared"? She says she thought she was with her parents or something like that. The girl wasn't reported missing for a couple of days? right? Yep, I'm in the dark ages.
Got my laminate picked up yesterday, when we were unloading it, I realized that two boxes were crushed, so now have to go back and get replacements. Got a portion of the gravel and rock down. Nope I'm not lifting. I have two buckets on my wagon, I fill those, then tip them over where I want the gravel. Is taking a long time, but at least I am making some headway.
Phyl, we have a pretty nasty grung going around here as well. I have been staying clear of anyone who is sick, not taking a chance. I have too much to do to be down.
Well, need to get outside while it is cool. check in later. TTFN
-
Okay, I don't watch the news or much TV so what is the low down on the Casey thing? Who did she kill?
Two days off!!! yeah A bunch of errands tomorrow, then have a fantacy (darn can't spell today) that I will get my house cleaned...yeah right
-
Okay, did I grumble when it was cool and rainging? I can't remember, but darn it is hot. Suppose to be 90 degrees tomorrow. Working in a nursery when it is hot it NOT my idea of fun. But since I can't remember if I grumbled when it was blecky I'll stay quiet.
Pond is up and running and planted, just need to landscape the edges, but too hot to move gravel. So Thursday I am getting up at the B--t crack of dawn to move the gravel, then need to run to school, pharmacy, get oil changed in car.... Just boring stuff...ummm, maybe a nap.
I hope you all had a fund 4th, How about Canada Day Candice?
You all survive the BBQ's fatening food? Crimey, can't even spell, I guess the adult beverage is kicking in. Skipped dinner, too hot to eat. I'll have some fruit later before going to bed. Just not in the mood and too tired for food.
Well, I'm almost at the point of "Who Done it?" in my book, so going to read then bed. Hope you all have a good evening!! TTFN
-
Denise, I hope they find the position that you will enjoy!! Life is too short to be miserable in your job!
We had a few fireworks last night, just people in the neighborhood. I was tired and went to bed by 10, long hot day at work. I have today off, but will be busy in the yard. Not doing anything exciting, just yard work and maybe a nap. Now THAT'S exciting! I'm just a party animal.
Yep, last year we were all together at this time. Miss you all!
Have a good one, TTFN

Candice...plumbing AND electrical!!!
-
Denise, what is with your school not giving you an answer? I'd be going nuts by now!
Janet, don't worry about the gravel. I only put a few scoop fulls in my wheel barrel, I make sure that it is under 50 pounds, it will take forever to unload, but I know better (in this case) to be careful.
Missed the back of my arms with the sun screen yesterday and did I get a burn. Not blistered, but hurts like heck!
Work today and then tomorrow off. Need to swab out the kitchen. Have been working outside until 9pm then showering and crashing. I think every dish in the house is dirty!
Well best get to it!
-
Wow, I'm with the rest of you, time has flown. Phyl, you make me tired just listening to you. But you thrive on activity, me I'm the hermit variety.
My Beast (old truck) is back to it's old self and running great. Went and got a load of gravel for around the pond. Just haven't had time to unload it. But I did get some new Koi, hopefully none of them die, or it they do they die while they are under warrente (sp).
I'm feeling really tight, been struggling with solids. Which is strange because I was perfect a few weeks ago. So I guess I'll watch it for a few days, then go in for an unfill.
Well best get started getting ready for work. I hope you all have a fabulous Saturday. Enjoy your holiday!
-
Janet, I guess time flies when we get older. Went into town to buy new koi for the pond. We went to fish them out of my friends pond and there weren't any left. So drove clear into Missoula and the pet store was out, are you kidding me!! Took Elyse into town and took her shopping for a birthday gift, found her a real nice outfit at Ross, also a chair I would love to have, but just too much money.
Came home and worked on the pond some more, hope to get it done tomorrow...we'll see.
Linda, yep kids are irritating, especially adult kids. They will do what ever they want even when it is wrong. Of course I was just as guilty at their age, married by 16, 3 kids by 22, divored by 25 and here I am grumbling about Elyse's choices, mine were worse and I survived. I guess we hope they don't make our mistakes...as they don't they just make new ones.
Janet, I have no plans for the 4th either, I may fire up the grill...if I can find it.
Candice, how about you fly into Missoula and paint for me?
Well, need to get some dinner, TTFN
-
Janet, I didn't think about the weightof the truck, but is was on a down hill slope and I used my body weight so it was more of a 'lean into' than a push, But I seem to occassionally forget to be careful.
Do you all have company coming for the 4th? I don't have anything planned, but to kick back and relax...okay work on the yard or swab out the house..
The vet is stopping by to give everyone the vaccine updates so I need to go clean out a pathway. Check in later, ttfn

Morning, I have survived the visit. But I think I can add mom's negativity to everyone elses. I know I can fall into the negative mode if I'm not careful. Fortunately I have all you lovely ladies to smack me along side the head when needed.
Have the pond running, but need to landscape the perimeter yet. Had an adventure with my old truck. It has been at the mechanics all week getting a new fuel pump. So went to pick it, got about a mile away from the mechanics place and it died. So get it running well enough to turn it around and it died perminately. So I had to push it for 1 mile. was pushing it for the first 1/2 by myslef, but finally got ticked and decided that the bumper on my CRV and truck bumper matched enough to push it while Elyse steered. I figure that was my workout for the day.
I have work today and then a couple more days off.
Phyl, hang in there. I wish I had some words of wisdom to give you, but I don't. I want to think that Earl is nagging because he loves you rather than he is just being a crochety old man. Tell him that you love him, but you are an adult and can take care of yourself.
I think we all are feeling overwhelmed or underappreciated. So just know that you all are my favorite people and that I wouldn't be half as happy without you all.
Best get ready for work!! TTFN

Phyl, I have to admit, I have the same issues as well, that is why I don't repond to any posts, sorry to be 'vague', but I have been ripped one two many times.
Glad to know that you all have had a good weekend. Yep, I will enjoy mom the best I can. Everything she says is negative, but I can deal. My sister and husband 'dropped' by on their way home to Idaho. My house was a friggin disaster, all tore apart for painting, etc. Well this is not one of those cases that it's family so it doesn't matter. With her and her husband everything has to be perfect or they just can't stand to be around you, but that is what money buys, perfection, that and retirement.
Well, today is to finish the pond...I hope.
Denise, hang in there. I know it is tought, but you are strong.
Candice, I hope you enjoyed the visit with your friend. You are a good friend to go out and about.
Janet, yep, much of our eating is control. Heck, I couldn't handle someone running my kitchen. Yep it would be great to have someone cook, but only if I decided how things were cooked.
Linda, how are those grandbabies, have you been watching them?
Well, best get going, ttfn

Morning ladies! Hope you all had a great Saturday! It was beautiful here. Were steady at the nursery. Got a lot done, all the Water features spruced up, sold a lot of water plants.
I came home from work and started planting my water plants and was busy with watering. Things are starting to dry out now that we have had warmer weather. Not as warm and Janet, but at least it was in the 70's.
My mom shows up today. Fortuanately she is only staying until Wednesday. But I have Monday & Tuesday off, so should get the pond finished. It is Elyse's 25th birthday, so will take her out for dinner and ice cream. Mom is bringing my new quilting machine, so I am excited. I don't have time to play with it yet, but should be able to in a couple of weeks.
Linda, I'd love to meet in at Janet's some time. We could have a mini lampband get together. Maybe sometime this winter when we are both freezing our butts off.
Well should get at it. Phyl Candice, what are you both up to?
TTFN

Denise, hang in there. I know there is nothing worse than waiting! However, they sure are being a pain by not notifying you. Unfortunately what you are going through seems to be indicative of school districts in general. The antics of our school board and some prominate individuals in our community keep making the local news. A couple of months ago we even made the national news. How mortifying. I just wish we would put the focus back on kids where it belongs and adults need to stop ACTING like kids. Sometimes I swear that our entire community acts less mature than our students.
Well work today but at least there is no more class for awhile. I have some homework to do and my mom is coming tomorrow, so I won't be able to focus on what I want today, but it is better than being in class. I did find a professor to be my 'reader' for my Capstone/thesis so I am excited about that. Also, an electric copy of my last project on my masters was found and emailed to me, so I am doing better. But now I am thinking on revamping my entire research project. Probably not a good idea!
Well, you all have a great day!!!
Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!

Yep Linda, I think I need a 'band' more for my head than for my stomach. But that is why we had the problem to begin with.
Yep, Elyse does have a nice sized baby bump. She is due the middle of October. I just get so frustrated with her sometimes. She has a lazy streak that I just don't understand. She also seems to have little respect for other peoples 'things'. She stayed at my house while I was gone so I didn't have to board the furries. Now I have a yard full of dog poop, even though I asked her to make sure she pooper scooped before I got home. Dishes were done, but not put away. all the blankets I washed for when DD#2 comes tonight to help with the tile, etc. are now dirty and I have to spend the day doing laundry. Oh well, at least the furries are okay. I shouldn't complain.
Busy day today, need to clean, laundry and paint my bedroom. I probably won't be on LBT tomorrow since we will be busy laying laminant and tile.
You all have a great day, ttfn
