Darn cold one at work today, rained for most of it, but people were out and we sold a lot of trees, my favorite time of year!! Nice to come home and have a hot shower and tea, so laundry started, need to change the bed and then I can be a slug for a couple of hours after homework. Enjoy your movie!!

Phyl, have a wonderful time! We will miss you, but we know you will be partying with the best!!! One more day and then no school for a week!! So looking forward to some unschool time. I'll still have homework for my masters class, but I can handle that. Maybe I will get out and dig in the dirt!!! Have a great day!!!

My friend 'knows' it isn't her fault, but her heart is telling her otherwise. She started counceling immediately. But I am not sure that she will ever get the sound of the gun shot out of her head. I don't know that forgiveness is going to happen any time soon, especially when we know he did it to hurt her. I can understand and forgive someone who truely feels they can't deal with life any longer, but someone who commits suicide to hurt someone else, I just don't know. There is no doubt he was ill, but does illness make you want to hurt someone? Janet, yeah I am hurt by my kids missing the birthday thing. Needless to say, food hasn't been good. I'm hurt. Elyse has actually called me twice today, emailed twice, and not once said Happy Birthday and you know that I am just too stubborn to say anything, no one to blame but myself. The others...well, they have their lives. But homework is almost done, and spring break starts tomorrow at 3:30, SO all will be fine. You all have a good evening. TTFN

No Janet, my kids did not come over, but one called to wish me happy birthday. I had oatmeal for dinner. Not a big deal.

Thank you ladies, it has been a day, not a good one. I will be so glad when this year ends. A dear friend of mine's husband killed himself. They were only in their late 20's. They were having some problems, so she moved out. He threatened to kill himself if she didn't move back in, so she did. I told her that he was just manipulating her and that she should only move back in if she thought is would be possible to work things out. Then he moved out, called her and shot himself while he was on the phone to her. I know he was sick, but she tried everything to get him help, they went to counceling, I just can't believe that there are people out there that are this cruel. She will never get over this. She always takes the problems of the world on. Sorry to be a downer, But thanks for the B-day wishes.

Linda, when is your surgery? I know I'm out of the loop. I know when the baby arrives I will be mostly okay. Ran into my surgeons nurse today, he also does OB, and told her about Elyse's situation and that we tried to get in with the surgeon who I loved but that he was booked. The nurse told me that if Elyse still want to get in with him that she will make it happen. Elyse will be going to his partner who is a young lady, so we are going to play it by ear. I also told Elyse I would take her to her appt next week since I am off. She seemed to be responsive. I am trying to be supportive without fixing things. On a positive note, they did move out of the place that was costing them $600 a month. They were living with a friend of the BF, the one that I am pretty sure kicked Simon. I guess the friend threatened Elyse and the BF with a broken bottle, so at least I don't have to worry about Simon any more. They moved in with his mother. Nope they aren't moving in with me!!! Janet, I'm with Linda, if the vertigo is still around get to a DR. Also Phyl, I like the idea of an allowance...as long as it is generous and raises with inflation. You earned it! Candice, of course you are a hot momma, with or without new clothes! I did come home and sew my 1/4 of a block I allow myself every night. Only 2 and 3/4 blocks left of this horrendeous thing. Anyone who tells you a star paper piece would be fun to do...run and run fast in the other direction. Some of the 12 in. blocks have 60 pieces...are you kidding me! The if you are off the least amount the points don't match up...but galloping horse at midnight!!! Best get busy on homework, love you all!

Sorry about not checking in yesterday, just needed some 'down' time. Didn't even turn on the computer. Alexa came home to study, she get distracted in her appt, too many people to visit with; So I read all night. Did absolutely NO homework, which I will have to make up tonight, but I needed to just let my brain chill for a bit. Food yesterday, not so good. Today will be better. Just a lopng week at school and it is only Monday, need to get grades done by the end of today. Plus homework, oh well. Alexa is going to New York for Spring break to hang out with her sister. I wish I could go, but don't need to spend the $$. The are going to spend a day or so in New York City, checking out the aquarium and the Natural Histroy Museum. Oh, I love the Natural HIstory Museum. Then going to the big toy store (FAO Shwarts?) Then New Yor cheesecake and bagels, Thus a good reason why I am NOT going to New York. Candice, great job on getting off those extra pounds and the hike. Our snow is gone for the most part and my crocuses are blooming. I actually saw a robin yesterday!! Well one of my last major projects is DONE!! whohoo. Only two big ones left. Have one due on Sunday, so will putting in a few hours to get it done. One week before spring break. I'm a bit sick of teaching. AND the quarter ends on Wednesday, so only 9 weeks left. Linda, you should be on countdown now!!! Saw the ultrasound of my new grandchild. They got a cute picture of its face. Hard to 'see', but you could see its little fist and mouth and eyes. Elyse and the boyfriend moved back home with his mother, so at least they aren't having to find rent. I guess the BF's friend that they were living with threatened them so the left. Hopefully they will not go back, but that is their choice. Although I expressed my opinion on how stupid it would be to move back in. Thursday is my two year anniversary to my band!!! Can't believe it, only 3 more years to make payments!! Have a great day!!!

Not too hung over, just tired even though I went to bed by 9:30 and didn't get up until 8:30. Reconnected with an old friend (mother of the bride). We use to be very close, did things together always. Spent some time crying on her shoulder, but it was good. She thought I was mad at her and that is why I didn't return any of her calls. Hell I don't remember getting any calls, but there isn't anything I can do about that. Really would have liked staying longer, but like I said, wet myself so had to go home. Probably a good thing, but I had changed to water by then so I wouldn't have gotten more drunk. Sat with Alexa and all her classmates. I now have the title of 'coolest middle school teacher' around. They were fun to hang out with. I looked good if I may say so. I wore tight clothes, not my usual baggies. A stretch oxford shirt (royal blue) over a white tank, kackies (sorry Phyl, can't spell this morning) and lots of silver jewelry. My hair, damn good. Even had full makeup on with eyeshadow and lipstick. So have tons of homework to do, but it was worth every minute!!! I'll check in later, have a great day!!

Enjoyed the wedding, I'm drunk, and going to bed, first bevereage in a realluy long time. Cryied on a friends shoulder, mother of the bride. See in in the morning, I'm dreading the hangover, it won't be pretty and I have a paper due, oh well, no big deal I will or won't get it done. Would still be at the wedding reception, but my dang incontinece since my surgery made me wet myself, even with a pad, so I had to leave, probably a good thing or I wouldn't have been able to drive home; Do you think I ever be able to plan a wedding, hell no, the young lady was a friend of Alexa's and she was at our house every weekend and every day during the summer when her mom worked, so she is one of mine. She was beautiful. Sorry, not typing all that well, Night, love you all!!

Linda, I'm game. Next year I will have my personal days and if we can tie it into my spring break then I am golden. I hope to be able to be with you all this summer. Yes I need some 'sister' time....Penny better not take your Cora time away. We will find out where she lives......and we are a force to be reconned with. Well, I don't have to worry about the boyfriend living off of Elyse's salary...she doesn't have a job now either. How did I find out. She left a message for me at school and I got worried so I called her work. Big mistake on my part, asked if I could leave Elyse a message to call me and they said..."Elyse who?" We don't have an Elyse who works here. Finally got a hold of her, what was so goll darn important, ultrasound of the baby. So I asked her when she was going to tell me she didn't have a job, her response...I was too embarrassed to tell you. Wow, that really works. So how embarrassed do you have to get to find a damn job!! or think about the fact that you are having a baby without any means of supporting it! I wonder what she will do when she ever hits the bottom. Because right now, there doesn't seem to be a bottom. Okay done for tonight, if any of you have words of wisdom, other than the obvious..."Karla, this isn't your problem!" I know it isn't my problem, but my heart just doesn't seem to be listening to my head! Love you all, miss you all!

Janet, I'm so glad you let someone drive you home. Take it easy and get some rest. I won't be in much over the next couple of days. I have a huge project due, a wedding to go to and work at the nursery, So know that while I am not here, you all are in my thoughts.

Oh, Candice, I'm not giving in, I just needed to feel worse, hey if I'm down, I might as well be way down. Actually I did go and read the facebook, it wasn't as bad as I had heard. Glad your quilt turned out nice!! Hope your mom is doing well! Anyway, going to bed. need to have some down time.

I've kind of reached the bottom. I do no homework tonight and got to the bottome of a pint of B&J's. I will get it together tomorrow. but tonight I just couldn't deal. I figure I need one more slap, I'm going to go read Elyse's facebook.

Janet, spring break is the Week of April 4th, but I am working full time at the nursery that week, so I may get a couple days off. Well I'm in deep doggy doo because of yesterday, here is the sad part, I don't care. I'm tired, I'm grouchy, and I'm feeling sorry for myself. So I'm sure that there was a hidden desire to make myself more miserable about myself so I did what I did. Oh well, it is done and over, and I will be silent from now on. Just frustrated, I would like to see the silver lining, but all I see are the clouds right now. Yes, I'm taking my meds, it is just that time of year. I'll get over it. I have a wedding to go to this weekend if I can get the day off. One of Alexa's classmates, and all I can think about is Elyse's situation. Why can't she get it together. Anyway I gave her a bit of an ultimatum, I told her that I can't be supportive of her when I see that she doesn't demand respect from the boyfriend. and that if she wants respect she will tell him to get a job and find a place for them to live that they can afford. AND she needed to move out by this weekend if she was going to stand up for herself. So since she hasn't done that I guess she is willing to be treated the way she is and I can't deal with it. So I am basically stepping out of her life. Her choice, but I can't watch her any more in this situation. It really isn't about her being pregnant. It is about expecting to be treated decently. She honestly couldn't say to me that she deserves to be treated right. So I am now a member of an unloving unsupportive family...if you read her facebook page.

Morning, Candice I hope you got some sleep!! It will take you a few days to get caught up! Well it is Wenes day, almost 1/2 way through the week! Next week is the end of quarter 3, which means only 9 more weeks of school. Whoo hooo After yesterday I could use a break! Woke up tired today, I hate that! I have not excuse, but I'm sure I'll wake up...eventually. You all have a great day!!

Howdy, Had a bit of a manic moment or should I say DAY at school. Started with a student running into me in the cafeteria and dumping their lunch tray on my new Columbia quilted jacket. Then the school attached my name to a grant application without asking my permission. Found out that some of my master's homework didn't upload and have to redo it, naturally it is the one time I don't have a copy. Finished with me telling a parent the cold hard facts about their child, normally I am so committed to avoiding confrontation I just smile and say, "How can I help?" But today in a parent meeting the parent wanted to know why their student has an 'F' in my class. Well I told her, "So far you child has 45 absences (that is 1/3 of the school year so far) and 23 tardies." The child can not be successful if he isn't in class. Her reasoning, "Well he stays up at night until 3 a.m. and I just can't expect him to get up at 7 a.m. OH YOU HAVE TO BE FRIGGIN KIDDING ME!!! WHO IS THE PARENT? So now the school is going to contact the doctor to get a medical reason why he can't be expected to be at school on time. When this happens, he will not fail my class because it isn't his fault. The medical excuse...he has insomnia. EXCUSE ME, I have insomnia and I spent almost a year with 3 hours a sleep a night because Alexa had night terrors. Also, Alexa rarely was able to get to sleep before 2 a.m., but her butt was up and on school. MAYBE if you actually made him get up, he would be tired enought to go to sleep. I wonder if the medical excuse will work when he is an adult and can't get to work on time because he has insomnia. If so, I want one, because whether I sleep or not, I am expected to be there! So I may or may not get a reprimand tomorrow, and guess what, I don't care. I guess I have had it with being to afraid to say a kettle is black. If it is black, it's black, let's stop saying it isn't and then find an excuse why it looks black. Came home and needed a carb fix..ate oatmeal for dinner. It was that or ice cream. Sorry for the vent, it has been a rough week.

Good Morning, I hope you all had a glorious sleep. Yesterday was beautiful again weather wise. I'm glad the picture worked, Tell Candice I'll take some pics of my quilts and send them in emails. Nothing much happening at school, we are giving CRT tests (national norma reference tests) so I don't really teach all week. Working on homework. Had a little melt down about Elyse and the pregnancy yesterday. Stopped by the accountant to pay her what I owed for doing the taxes and since I claimed Elyse on my taxes she owed Federal. So ended up writing ANOTHER check. Had I no claimed her and she had to pay, it would have been her paying it. It just got to me. Then my eldest called and shared a little about her frustrations trying to conceive (all in 3rd person naturally). So I just can't of felt buried by it all. Oh my mother had to call and remind me that I missed her birthday. I would have liked to say that I did it on purpose, but I truely spaced it. I'm sure Frued (sp) would have a hayday with forgetting. I hope everyone arrived safe and sound, hugs all around from me!! You will have to tell me about your shopping trips. Although Janet will have to clear out more closet space (Sorry, I couldn't resist, But shopping is better than eating!!!) Was able to fall asleep right away last night even with the time change, but Molly got up multiple times and just was a pain. I guess that is my payback for making her go on a walk. She thinks she is such a princess. Her fat little butt just drug along on the walk. Hopefully now that the weather is getting nicer I will get out there more. We hit almost 60 yesterday!!! whoho Got my camera and it seems pretty easy to work, down load pictures, etc. Janet I sent a test picture to your email, so let me know if it shows up, then I'll send you all pictures of the quilts I finished. Janet, camera is tomorrow, today was work at the nursery. The boss has been great about having one of the young pups lift stuff so I don't have to. It was a glorious day, in the 50's. I think I got a little sun burn on my face. I even groomed up a bit for work. Usually it is a pony tail and no make up. But I decided that it is one of the few places I see REAL people so decided to put on a bit of a face. Boss said I looked great. Couldn't eat breakfast or much lunch. Was really tight. So had a few bites of kashi and yogurt for breakfast, and about 1/4 of an apple and about 1/3 oz of cheese, wasn't even hungry. Thats what I like about the nursery. Well pork chops in the oven and Alexa is making mashed potatoes so I'll have a spoon full. I am going to splurge tonight and have a little ice cream. I worked all day and didn't eat much, so I'll be okay calorie wise. You all have a fabulous time!!!

Phyl, I hope you get in when you need to, don't wait too long! Got most of my homework submitted. I'm going to start on next weeks to get it over with. Most of it is easy, but I have a unit I have to submit, which will be a pain since I don't know what I am doing yt. Spring is on the way! My wheeping pussy willow tree has the little white puff balls on it! I hope you all have safe travels, Give Linda a hug for me. She must be excited, only 2 1/2 months until retirement.
