My journey starts in 2007 when I was told I was to young at the time for the surgery and to come back when I was 16. After turning 16 and finishing my first semester as a sophomore in highschool I attended a Lap band seminar at top surgeons in Valencia, CA. My surgeon was decided and I came in for a pre op. I was told I was very young for getting this surgery but I didn't mind because my body sure needed it after being obese since birth. I received the surgery in January of 2009 and my surgery went great. My recovery was fast and I was shedding the pounds. After about a year of losing weight I had lost 100 pounds making me 200 pounds 20 pounds from my goal when my insurance stopped covering my fills. I ended up gaining all my weight back in the course of a year and now it's been 2 years since I've gained it all back and Im currently 325 pounds. My insurance just recently started covering my fills again and now I'm attending a whole new surgeon getting my fills. I have just started my journey to a new life again yet this time I have god on my side and I know for a fact that I'm going to lose weight, start a new life and be a new me :))
