  3. Happy 44th Birthday tdteach99!

  4. Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope everyone is doing well. Next Friday will be my first fill. I can't wait! For those of you who have had a fill already, would you share your experience? I am a little nervous about some big, huge, giant needle. Traci
  5. I decided to do this kind of exercise today. I walked around Target for like an hour - no kids, no husband - it didn't even feel like exercise. Then I worked out my arms by caring all those packages to the car. I think I like this kind of exercise the BEST!!!!!!
  6. I am sorry you are having a rough time. Here is a link to some food suggestions. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f9/lapband-food-stages-lists-suggestions-3995/ I ate potato Soup, just ran it all through a blender. I also have Broccoli and cheese soup. Towards the end of mushies I even broke up some crakers in it. Just keep telling yourself, that this will end and you will be able to make your own food choices.
  7. Good Wednesday to all! We are half way through the week. Exercise roll call - today, I walked for 20 minutes and did about 10 minutes of step. What did you all do? Traci
  8. Hi Everyone. Welcome to a new month. I can't believe it has been a month since I was banded. Here is my problem. I HATE TO EXERCISE. I mean, when you step on the WII fit and it groans, you know it is just not going to be a good day. So here is my thought. We can post what we did each day to exercise. Maybe if I have to confess to EVERYONE on days I don't exercise, that will be enough to get me moving. Plus, if we see different types of exercises, may I will find something I like better. Any one else in? I will start: I did 20 minutes of Wii fit "yoga" today. Traci
  9. Hello All Did all Fab Febs have a great holiday weekend? I am in the long haul now. No breaks from now until Easter break. It's going to be a LONG 6 weeks. I love my job, but 105 14-15 year olds, can get trying. Here is to another happy and healthy week. I am 15 days out, 12 lbs down. I am looking forward to my first fill in a month. Have a great week. Be HAPPY! Traci
  10. TGIF Fab Febs. It has been a good day. I went for my post surgery check -up and I can start mushies TWO days early. Have a great and healthy weekend. Ale78 - thanks for starting our monthly thread. Here is the link February 09 Bandsters - Lap Band Surgery and Lap Band Discussion Forum Traci
  11. Don't freak out. You are not a cop-out. you are making a decision for a better life. If you have any questions, this seems to be the place to go. I read ALOT of the pre-op forum before I went. They always had such great advice. Mothers - on the other hand - mine came to stay for a few days, because I couldn't drive my kids to preschool, and somehow I reverted back to an eight year old.
  12. Monday check In How is everyone? One week in and everything is great! Anyone else getting sick of liquids. Is it sad that I am looking forward to mushy bananas and cream of wheat by the end of this week? Have a good day Traci
  13. We are 8 days into the sweetest month of the year. I thought we could start a thread for encouragement and advise. So, I will start. I was banded on 2/3. So far no problems. I have been reading for a couple of days and I love the fact that everyone is so supportive. My husband tries, but he just doesn't get it. So, who wants to join me on this life changing adventure.
  14. Oh my! You sound just like me. My surgery is scheduled for 2/2. Yesterday, after three days of him being completely miserable, he finally confesses that he doesn't want me to go through with it. I have had two c-sections, both of which had problems. He is freaking out. I just told him that I would be find, and asked him if he would rather have a couple hours of worry or a couple of decades without me because my other health issues would probably kill me. We talked and talked. Now I am freaked a little bit. But I am still going to do it. I can't wait.
