Howdy all! I got my 2nd fill on Friday- 1.8cc- total of 5.8cc. for the first 2 days, I'm thinkin', well crap, that didn't work, then, all of a sudden, day 3, badabing badaboom- houston, we have restriction!! This is what it's really supposed to be like! I am so totally stoked! am able to just have what I'm supposed to, and it lasts for hours! I have more energy, and, and, and, wow!! I've already lost 3 pounds- on my way to my turkey take off goal of 20! yay me! also a couple of NSV's- my cute hubby and I were snugglin one am and I had to have him move his leg cuz it was hurting my hip bone-- what? hip BONE? I have one of those? it was very cool. Then that night playing kick the can with the kids in the backyard and I WON!! yep, cought the kids and almost can outrun them! woohoo! I haven't felt this great in a long time - is it obvious? don't know what I'd do without this forum- you guys are great!! have a great day!

Hey everybody! I totally sucked on the September challenge- I'm fitting into things that have been way tight for way too long, but the scale just doesn't budge! I'm scheduled for my 2nd fill the 22nd- maybe that will get things going where they need to be! count me in on the Turkey take off- I'm looking for 20- gonna work my butt off to get it too. no more lally-gaggin for me! thanks for all your inspiration- I need it! Hi all- I was banded in Mexico and had a great experience and very simple recovery- I went to fill centers usa in Pocatello for my 1st fill. It's 300 for a first fill/offfice visit, that includes a refrence book- then you're a member and each fill after is 150. you can also go to any fill center in the us- I'm hoping they get a UT one soon. They don't do flouro there in Pocatello, but the np there said she was working on partnering with a radiologist close by if need be. Otherwise you have to go to Washington if you need flouro- I didn't feel I needed it because I can feel my port really well. I have had one fill and am totally stuck on my weight so I need another. anyhoo-- If' you're in northern UT, it's not too far to Pocatello. Hope this helps Kato

Hey Telly! I just want you to know you are my inspiration!! I always look for your posts- I'm only a month or so behind you but not nearly as good- so I know I need to get off my dead ass so I can look like you!! I truly love the gi jane- you should consider modeling- your bone structure is amazing! since I'm losing my hair too, I might consider it- my only hope is that my hair comes back in straight! (fat chance) anyway... now that I'm done suckin' up--.... where did you get your excercise routine? is it something you made up? can I get it in a book? I'm biking a lot, think about running (need a great sports bra) (or three) hee hee- so I'm ready for weight training but not real sure where to start. Thanks for any thoughts! Kato:biggrin1:

Hey kids! Everyone is doing so great! it truly is an inspiration! I have decided I have pretty good restriction, not fabulous, but good for now. I'm actually learning what it feels like to be hungry- It's taken me a while to learn it- thin people just don't understand that. I'm also learning that I don't have to feel "full" when I'm sitting at the table. I eat the amount that I should and then walk away- and find that I am satisfied- I'm learning that I don't have to be stuffed to be satisfied- amazing. I did experience my first PB at the amusement park with my kids, luckily within sprinting distance to a bathroom. that sliming is really a sight to behold-wow. I totally suck on the September challenge- I gained 2 before my fill- now I've lost 4, but that's really only 2 total. If I'm going to be anywhere close I gotta book!!! great part is, I'm fitting into clothes that have been way too tight for too long, so tht's nice, people around me are noticing, so that's pretty fun. everyone have a great Thursday!- I'm going for a bike ride. Hey everyone! Julie T- I'm in the very same boat as you- started out at 223, hanging out at 207 actually getting kind of discouraged. I went for my first fill yesterday- got 4cc in my 10cc band- (also wondering why mine is so big when we started out the same wt?) any hoo- I'm on liquids today and quite hungry- is that normal? should I be feeling the restriction right away? all you veterans out there, please help! how soon should I be worried that I don't have enough fill? The fill itself was actually quite painless and easy, the staff at the Fill Center in Pocatello were very nice- you're all doing great- there's a reason I come here for inspiration! Have a great day! Hi guys! It seems like forever since I've even been here- wow- everyone is doing so well! I lost about 15 pounds the 1st 3 weeks (banded May 31), and nada the last two weeks (sigh) I am soo ready for my 1st fill! The problem i am currently facing is my fill doc here in UT has more than doubled his price-:faint: yikes ! so I'm looking into fill centers usa for follow up- anybody have any experience? I'm planning on going to the one in Pocatello ID. I still don't eat nearly what I used to, so overall I'm happy, just ready for some restriction, right now having to rely on good old will power! (which I'm sorely lacking in:biggrin1: ) put me down for the September challenge- 20 lbs for me!!! thanks guys- the support here is fantabulous!!!

Hi friends! I'm officially 2 weeks out today and have lost 13 pounds!! yippee yehaw and shazaam!! my doc says I can start soft foods now, but I'm chicken- I've read about pb's and stuff getting stuck, and I really don't want to experience it! I also worry because I have a pretty high pain tolerance (it's a read-headed woman thing) so I'm afraid something will get stuck, and it's more serious than I think it is and I get really sick. all I can do is try I guess, can't live on jello forever. I've been walking, and my DH is fixing my bike today, I'm wondering too, how soon is too soon to start ab work? my doc didn't say. thanks for all the support and info- I know I wouldn't be feeling as good as I am without it! happy wednesday! kato banded may 31 dr. rodriguez monterrey mx

hi folks! wow- It's been a few days since I've been here, it is soooo wonderful to know everyone is in the same boat with me, that I am perfectly normal!(physically that is) :biggrin1: I was banded May 31 in Mexico, came home the 2nd. the flight was a bear, trying to get through the airport and an hour delay on the runway (sigh), my mom (who had open heart last year)and I were a pretty good pair of wimps! but we made it through! weighed in today- 7 pounds in 7 days!!! yipppeeeee! my sites are healing pretty well, port site is of course sore, and bigger than the others- I can feel my port, but it's under a pretty good layer, so it will be a while before it's actually visible. And another blessing of this site, I know this is all normal. I'm eating (or drinking rather) every 3-4 hours, get STARVING and have 1/2 cup of Jello or coup o soup/bullion and I'm good. It's great! going back to work tomorrow, we'll see how a 12 hr shift goes.:notagree thanks so much for all your support, information, and inspiration!! have a great day! someday, when I get a little more technically literate, I'll add a ticker tape and pictures and whatnot- till then it's just little ol' me!:scared: kato banded May 31, Dr. Arturo Rodriguez

hey kathmo and other dr r. pts, question for you- I'm leaving for Monterrey tomorrow- staying at the quinta royale- I'm just wondering if they have internet in rooms, if I should take my laptop? do they have a "business center" I could use a computer in? just wanting to talk to the kids while I'm gone- thought IM would be cheapest/easiest. thanks! I have less than 24 hrs!!! lots o' nail biting going on! thanks for your help! kato

Hi all- wanted to join the may bandsters! I'm totally stoked! my official date is May 31. the only real issue I've had is mom, who's worried about mexico- I finally convinced hubby, (though he just might be sick of me yammering on and on about it) anyway- I've done TONS of research and feel really good about my decision. Anyone else going that day? I'll be with Dr. Rodriguez in Monterrey. Wish me luck! Kato

HI ya'll- I'm brand new to this forum though I've been researching lap band for quite some time. I think I've decided to go with Dr. Rodriguez in Monterrey- I just think I "clicked" with the staff a little better. I'm tentatively scheduled for May 31. Any thoughts? Thanks! Kato
