At least you can then start booking ur flights etc. Let us know how you get on x Can't Weight - they say for ur 1st fill 4-6 weeks depending on how you feel. For me it was either 4 weeks (less a day) or 7 weeks and I didn't want to wait! It really didn't hurt at all and I'm glad I went for it now. I'll let you know how I get on with WLS, I know Gillian, Bigisis and Bobobaldy are using them and said they were great. At least if you buy a package u know where u stand, u may win or lose out if u only need 3/4 but I'm taking the gamble!!

Hi Sophie! You are in the best place to get advice from! I do hope you get your slot in Brussels with Dr Chris as he is an amazing surgeon and everyone on here has nothing but praise from him. I don't know much about having the op in Poland but someone may be able to point you in the right direction. I can't give you much info on flights as my hubby and I drove over as we have a baby who needs a lot of stuff!! I had my op on Friday 13th March and was discharged lunch time on the Saturday (which is normal). You are in pain/discomfort but it really is bearable and less than I thought. Most people would fly back the day after that (so the Sunday in my case) but we stayed until the Monday. On the Sunday I felt well enough to sit in the hotel lobby and watch rugby so it wasn't too bad. I would have been OK to fly back if I'd have taken it slowly. If you can get a later flight back during the day that would be preferable as you literally feel better every hour! I travelled back on the Monday and it was fine. You are young and I am sure you'll be fine!! Are you planning to take anyone with you? The pre-op diet is just a low fat, low sugar diet. I tried not to eat anything with more than 4g in 100g of fat. No alcohol either! Gary also suggested taking milk thistle tablets which help shrink the liver. I would've taken them had I thought about it - I have had some in my bathroom cabinet for ages!! (They're prob out of date though!!) Anymore qu's fire away!

Carrie you have done sooooo well!! Did you need the restriction to help you or have you been ultra amazing like Flirtylass and done it without any restriction? U are gonna have one heck of a summer!

Hi Cazz! I paid £90 2 weeks ago in Manchester but I think they charge £80 in London. Not sure about the other locations. Congrat's on becoming a mum again! I have an 8 month old who's keeping me busy!!

Hi CW - yes I had my 1st fill a fortnight ago. It was 1 day short of 4 weeks since the op. I was a bit worried it would be painful but I didn't feel a thing!! When is urs? 2nd fill Sunday - wow hoooo!! I'm going with the WLS package - £349 for unlimited fill for 6 months. I think it's worth it as I like to know where I stand - I have paid and that's it for 6months. Also you can get then done every 2 weeks in London if you need them. I just need some help from the band as my will power just isn't helping. Well I guess that's why I had the op in the first place!! I think we're gonig away in June. It's great but I will look a state on the beach! I thought we wouldn't be going away because of the cost of the op and pre-op hol but I have worked my magic and persuaded hubby I need a break!! :thumbup: It would be good to lose at least a stone before then.

Bobobaldy - London is the nearest place to me so I will be going there!! Great - every 2 weeks it is then! I think it will help me get motivated too (weigh in etc). Better get a train pass!! :rolleyes2:

CW - I know what u mean I can eat anything and it's so depressing!! I think I thought I would start losing weight straight away but I am gonna need some restriction!! Bobobaldy - that's great if you've got to ur sweet spot. How many fills have you had? I've got my second on Sunday with WLS group. Do they let you have them every 2 weeks? I plan on having them as often as I can. I hope this is the last ever fat summer!

Odgemodge - don't worry too much, just try ans stick to low fat/sugar. You can eat lots just keep it low fat/sugar! I struggled as I went to Belgium a week b4 my op for a little holiday and the chocolate and waffles :thumbup: were VERY hard to resist! I did have a little sample and everything was fine for me! Ur time will be here b4 u know it. U will be in good hands. I have not regretted choosing Dr Chris. I just need to get a few more fills so the band starts working for me!

I didn't buy anything though oh except a paring knife! Mum had fish and chips from Harry Ramsden's but I was a good girl! :crying: I'm going into London on Sunday to get another fill. I think they are in London every 2 weeks so I intend to go every 2 weeks until I get a bit of restriction. I can eat anything pretty much and any quantity and it's been really tough over Easter esp as I've been visiting relatives for lovely meals! I'll weigh in tomorrow - just hope I've not put on too much. I am just sooo hungry!

I know exactly how you feel Bigbones. I am getting v frustrated as I can pretty much eat anything and as much as pre-op. I'm having my first fill tomorrow though so am hoping to get things moving again. I should lose a bit in any case being on liquids and mushies for a few days! I think tihs seems to be quite normal though so don't worry xxx

Phew - cats sorted. A neighbour is looking after them. I'm annoyed as I booked the 'cat woman' (who does it for a living) months ago. I won't be using her again that's for sure!! I'm having a mare with cat sitters :mad: had the easter booking for months and can't get hold of her (been trying for 3 days - GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!). So I am trawling the internet looking for another company! :smile: I hope this fill kick starts some weight loss. Not lost anything for over 2 weeks.

Yeah I saw that programme with Michelle from WLS on it. I hope everything went OK with the baby. I'm having my 1st fill with Fred then WLS. I can not wait! We went for a lovely long walk this morning along the river - it was glorious! Flirty you have done so well with ur weight loss. I can't wait to start seeing the results. I have lost about 12 lb and now it's stuck so hopefully this fill will kick start the weight loss again! It's not long until summer - am dreading it in many ways. This time next year with a bit of luck I'll be looking forward to wearing those lovely summer dresses!
