I was banded last Wednesday, I cannot even imagine getting a Fill. I am on this liquid diet only eating 4 oz of liquids at atime. I get full right away, But an hour or so later I am starving! Is there any in between of just being .o,K?

I was banded July 12th. Today is my first day of full liquids. I either feel hungry, or full, NO in between. I dont burb like I use to when full, So it's uncomfortable. All I see on TV is food comercials, It has now been 14 days with no food. I am confused weather I did the right thing? My first 3 days after surgery I wasnt that hungry, But am now? Help.

I am about to start my 10 day pre-op liquid only diet. {NOT FUN} I know I am suppose to have broths, and Protein drinks. They say not have any juice, I understand that but, Why can't I blend a banana or strawberries with my Crystal Light? It's still Sugar Free! I just don't know how you banders have done it? I am so nervous, I may just say Forget the whole thing. ANY ADVISE? :eek:

I have seen DIET PEPSI SLUPEES, and they are good! SUGAR FRRE!

The best soulotion for all you Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi people is.....Go to 7-11 and have yourself a nice Diet Pepsi SLURPEE! No Carbanation No Sugar, and tastes great!

Question, I start my liquid phase on Sunday,7-2-06 Are those shakes very good with Water? I don't think I am allowed skim milk? If not, do you know any that are?

Hello I am about 3 weeks away from surgery. My six year old son and I wrestle all the time. I know I may be sore after my surgery, but was wondering if anyone knew if I would be able to get kicked, or punched in stomach area after I heal from surgery. Don't want band to slip, but have heard I can go back to normal activity. Am I looking for trouble?

Hi DAA, I have been to Jamaica 3 times and have never gotton sick. Jamaica is not Mexico and usually at most resorts the food is very good. Just drink bottled Water, and enjoy yourself.

Hello all, I heard that last night there was a show on TV about Lapband. I was wondering if anyone saw it? I would appreciate it if you knew what network it was on, and the name of the show. I would like to see if it will be on again, I am sure many of us could learn from it. Thanks a lot!

Hi Almostready76 I have been married almost 10 years, My wife has asked the questions, Will you still want me after you loose your weight? I try not to awnser her, because I am not getting the attention I deserve now, and believe me if I don't get it after the surgery, and I meet someone who treats me better, I am not sure what I will do. I do love my wife and family, but have felt ignored and lonely for years. I have never cheated,don't plan to, But I am also not going to go through life without attention. I have told her that I am not happy with her lack of attention,and she just blows it off. She is on a med called lexapro, She blames it on that! So after I loose the weight, It will be interesting to see what happens. I just like you am doing this so I can live longer and healther,and for myself. I think many couples go through this after a spouce goes through a major change.

Hello Lapband People: I will be joining the banders on July 12th 2006 and am very excited. I have a few weeks of regular food left before the last 10 days of a liquid diet, Oh My :huytsao I am not nervous about the surgery, But I am about what I will be able to eat for the rest of my life? I was told today, after the surgery, No more bread, Pizza, Shrimp, or Lobster,good thing I like Tuna :nervous I am down about 20 lbs so far this year just eating less crap, and stopped snacking. I will be having it done at Scripps in La Jolla California. I just want to loose about 80 lbs, They say it will take some time, But I hope to have it all off by year end, That may be unrealistic, but it's a good goal. Can't wait to say goodbye to my Diabetic Meds :clap2:

Hi Bakogal, I am also very nervous about my upcoming surgery. My Dr.office called yesterday wanting to give me a date, I was caught off gaurd and said I had a few more questions for the doc which I see next week. I know weight loss is my only hope for a future, but all the life changes do freak me out quite a bit. I am thinking about you and wish you the best of luck.

Actually I was hoping for a weekday, My weekend are for family.

Is this going to be a lunch or Dinner thing? Lunch is easier for me. The place sounds fine.

Hi Everyone, I am wondering if anyone is done with their lapband and completed their journey? Have you lost all your weight ? Does the band come off? I am about to get my date for surgery, I was very excited about the surgery,and loosing all my weight. Then I found this website,and see the following: These weight lines on the bottom of these posts that show how much there is to go, I havent seen one yet that show's 80-100% of their goals,where are these folks? all the things that can happen with pain,and eating problems, band slipping? I am not trying to be negative, I want the surgery but some of these posts are freaking me out,and now I am thinking about it with some fear that I didnt have before. Is it possible that the people who have finished their journey are just not on here? Please advise, Just a bit nervous.

Hi Mandy, Why is hard to maintain your goal, Don't you still get full right away and can still only eat very little? Just trying to understand what the end will be like?

Hi Everyone, I first learned about this lapband surgery through a wonderfull lady who works at a local coffee shop. I had noticed that she had lost a lot of weight,and I asked how she did it. The rest is history. Since this time I have been seeing the doctors at Scripps Clinic for Weight Management, in San Diego. My weight has always been an issue and I was quickly loosing to many family members to diabites. I have been approved for Lapband surgery and I just got the word that my insurance will also be on board to help. My Mother just passed away a few months ago,Since that time I have lost about 27 lbs. on my own just cutting out Snacks,and eating less crap. My doctors wanted me to loose weight before the surgery to get used to eating less so it would not be so hard after the surgery. To be honest, right now I am really scared, I have been reading posts on this website,and others. Even though most posts are positive, The bad one's are very frightning when complications occur. I have a 6 year old son who needs me,and I don't want to do anything that would endanger my future. My next appointment with my surgon is May 25th, I almost feel like saying, You know,I am loosing weight pretty well right now on my own, Perhaps I should just wait a few more months and see how I am doing then? I am 6-2 and now weigh about 315. I appreciate all your suggestions, Thanks.
