I had a fill on Monday 4/20. My 3rd ....2ccs added for a total of 9ccs in my 10cc band.... I can drink tiny sips of liquids, yesterday (the day of the fill) I only had liquids and today I managed a yogurt over the course of several hours. If my sip of liquid is too big, or if I take more than a few sips in a row I start to slime. I'm keeping everything down, no PBing, no puking...... I'm hoping its just swollen and will loosen up a bit, but if not, isn't this too tight? I have to pay a huge co-pay to go have them take out Fluid, so I was planning on waiting it out a few more days to see how it goes.... does that sound wise?

Hi everyone! I have my 3rd fill scheduled for Monday, 4/20 and I'm wondering if I should skip it. I am loosing weight well.... 3-4lbs a week, eating around 6-8oz per meal w/out feeling hungry in between...working out, etc. My next fill after that isn't until June, so it would be a little bit of a wait... another deciding factor, my fills cost $400 out of pocket. I have the money if I need it, but I can think of other things I'd like to spend it on this month. I appreciate any and all advice! Thanks!

not specific to the chili, but for me, following the 1st fill I didn't actually "feel" the restriction until late day 2/day 3. Seems like it took some time to kick in! Now I'm still feeling full after big servings of liquids.

i thought mine was from the protein shakes/drinks I was drinking. anyway, I used the listerine quick dissolving strips and they worked to mask it.

Good luck... I'd say take the help...as much as offered. You'll probably be fine by day 5 but you should really focus and take the time for yourself (walks, planning meals, etc) Here is how I did it.... I have a 2 1/2 year old boy (38lbs) and a 13 month old daughter (24lbs)... my mother in law flew in the day before my surgery and was going to be with the kids while hubby and I were at the surgery center. She stayed in town 6 days and then it was back to normal. I didn't do anything crazy like carrying the kids up and down the stairs and my daughter is walking so really I only had to lift her out of her crib in the morning and up and down from her highchair. I really concentraited on using my arms or my legs only... *my* doc said I could probably lift my daughter right from the beginning without problem, but I think the 6 days 'off' were exactly what I needed to heal. AF wife here...I got the band b/c that was what was covered w/ tricare. it was that or bypass. we are separating from the AF in 3 weeks (yippee!) and I've already called ahead to where we will be moving and got on with a practice there...no problems... no fees... I'm sure I'll be switching insurance providers as well, but for now, I'll be cash pay for my fills. do you know where you will PCS next? you might be able to get a medical hardship pcs to only places w/ doctors near.

Hi! I just wanted to pop on and see how many vegas people are out there. Seems yall already have a little group thing going on. Its always hard to be the newbie jumping in, but I'd like to if you will have me! I am a patient of Dr. Atkinson and I'm in the liquid post-op phase. Doing great...... Does anyone know when the support groups are for SWCC? I think I'd like to go to one and see people and talk to people in the same situation. Thanks in advance!
