I'm glad you called them. If they don't get back to you, call them before the day is out and push the issue.

Ann - Don't be bummed. Your unfill can be ever so slight. Acid reflux is one of the signs that you are too tight. Why suffer?? Also- I have a hard time with eggs and I'm not too tight. Remember one of my previous notes that I needed an unfill. My unfill was .25cc. That slight amount made all the difference. Maybe that's all you need as well......... You're doing great....:smile::biggrin: Don't let it get to you..... John

I would change Doctors asap. Don't wait till your next appt on 10/26/09 to voice your concerns. The office screwed up. Have them fit you in asap. There's always a cancellation. There are plenty of Docs out there that can work with you. Good luck and don't get discouraged.

I bet when everyone posts that we'll hit close if not over 1,000 lbs as a team.............:smile2::thumbup::frown2::thumbup:

Weighed in this morning @ 232 lbs. Down 2 more lbs. Total 105 lbs. Can't believe that the last fill on 8/25/09 is still giving me good restriction. My goal is 223, my Doc wants me to try and get to 220. We'll see. Watching muscle mass as I'm starting to lose some and I really don't want to. All in all, a great experience. :scared2:

rguay - I will probably get an unfill at my next appt. We'll see. I've been training myself to eat less and the idea of an unfill makes me nervous. You are doing great.....keep up the good work. I agree with you. I have good restriction so I will still lose the weight. I am getting to the point where I'm losing muscle mass not fat. Will need to do some strengthening exercises. My goal of 223lbs is still a good one.

Weighed in this AM @ 234 lbs. Down 2 lbs since last week. Went to the Doc last night, did not tighten the band as I still have restirction. He didn't want to mess with it...If it's not broke, don't fix it. My goal of 223 lbs is in sight. :biggrin::w00t: When I hit goal, the Doc will open the band just a little so not to lose anymore....THAT MAKES ME NERVOUS.......I am afraid that I will start to gain back the weight. Will have to watch it closely.......

Just had my third fill today. An additional .5cc was added. Total now is 6.25 cc. It was explained , once you're in the zone, the fills are minimal to keep up with the stomach shrinking. Since my last fill ( 6/16/09), I'm down 5 lbs.:bored: Back to fluids today and mushie tomorrow......Down 2 lbs since last Friday.

Banded 5/11/09 down just over 100 lbs. ( 50 lbs pre-op and 51 lbs post op) Seeing my Doc today to determine if I'm at goal or should continue to lose.

I help manage a yearly golf outing for one of my good friends who passed away. The proceeds go to a trust that provides college assistance for his four children. I haven't seen these people in a year. Well - MONDAY, I SHOCKED THE CRAP OUT OF THEM..:w00t::sad: They couldn't believe how I looked. In fact, my good friends brother came up to me twice because the first time he didn't realize who he was talking to. That was a little wierd. Nevertheless, all were very supportive and were amazed as to the transition.

Weighed myself this morning and lost another 2 lbs......Total now 101 lbs....I can't believe it...I haven't weighed 236 since 1985-87. :thumbup::biggrin::frown: I'm still very tight from my last fill of 8/26/09. I see my Doc on 9/17/09 and will ask what my true goal weight should be and see what he thinks. I definitely do not want a fill. Anything more will give me trouble and I like cruis'n the zone. To all my Mayo Banditos....Keep it up. We're all losing weight, maybe at a different pace, but we're all losing, which is the goal. :seeya::thumbup::thumbup:

SpideyMom - You're right. Once in the zone, the adjustments are minimal. My last three were minimal. Especially my last - .25cc. I see the Doc 9/17/09. I do not want another fill if I feel this way next week. The last was on 8/26/09 and I'm just as tight today as I was on 8/26/09 which is a good thing.

On the way - Please don't be discouraged. Some Doc's are more aggressive then others. I have had 6-7 fills. Two of those fills were too tight and I went back the next morning and had a slight unfill. The adjustments have gotten smaller and smaller. My last ended up being .25 cc. I am just as tight today as the day of my fill. Ask your Doc to be aggressive. Tell him you are not restricted and he should compensate for it. If you are not restricted, call him up for another appt asap. Why should you be hungry. We can manage our bands as well as the Docs. They should listen to us as we listen to our own body. My Doctor's office is great. They listen to me and they are willing to be aggressive as long as I am willing. Keep up the good work.....Ann said it right--- THIS IS A JOURNEY not a diet. We're in it for life whether it takes months or years to lose all of the weight we want to lose, so what. It's working , isn't it?? Without the band none of us could of done this well. Don't Worry - Be Happy with what you have accomplished. :sad::thumbup::blush2:

Had a great week. Still tight which is a good thing. Lost 4 lbs.....down a total of 99 lbs......Hopefully, next week a milestone will be reached.........

I feel your pain & know the feeling. I had the same happen Tuesday. Went back first thing Wednesday morning for .25cc removal. You are doing great. Keep it up........

Went in for another adjustment yesterday. Gaspar (N.P.) put in .5 cc. When I drank water in the office, it went down ok. WELL - When I got home and had soup, oh boy, was I in for a surprise. I started to hiccup and slime for 1 1/2 hours. It wasn't pretty. I tried an ice pop 3 hours later and after sucking on it for five minutes, the same thing happened. Then I went to bwed and it was trying to come up all night. Didn't sleep well at all. So first thing this morning I show up in the Doc's office and Gaspar removed .25cc's and thank the lord all is good. I'm tight but I can drink and eat . It's hard to believe that after almost a month the adjustment was only .25. My total is now 6.45 cc.
