Congratulations on your first 25 pounds!!!! :scared2: I was banded on the 9th as well. Had my follow up dr's appt yesterday and had the stinkies (steri-strips) removed! It was a HAPPY day! I've lost 7 lbs post surgery - 20 total. I started mushies today - I'm still not in the "I can't eat as much" frame of mind so when I made my scrambled egg this morning, I actually made TWO! Yeah, I'm not so sure I even got a whole ONE down. Anyway, everything's going great here! I "went back to work" the Monday post-op. BUT, I work from home so I have a serious advantage. Congratulations again!!!! Good luck at your show tomorrow - I love Pampered Chef!

That's awesome! Color me jealous! Sounds like you're off to an incredible start! I was banded on 1/9 and since surgery have lost 7 lbs. I did lose 13 on the pre-surgery diet though. :scared2: Congratulations and best of luck to you!!!

Wow! You had a horrible experience - so sorry to hear that. But years from now when you're thin and a hottie, it'll be worth putting up with. :scared2: Fortunately my experience was nothing short of wonderful - I even got a "thank you" card from the hospital signed by my nurses, etc. Congratulations and best of luck to you!

I just had my banding last Friday (1/9). I've been told to drink 6 liquid "meals" each day and Water in between. I haven't been able to get the 6 "meals" down in a day yet much less all of the water. Does this get easier as the swelling goes down?? Help!

I've never heard of having to lose 10% of your weight prior to surgery. That's silly - if we could of done that, we might not be needing the surgery! I had my "day surgery" last Friday. I got to the hospital at 6am, in to the OR at 9am, banded by 10 - home by 1pm! (with an hour drive) All has been perfectly fine. Best of luck to you!

Hi everyone! I was banded last Friday, yay! :sneaky: So far, so good.. aside from the horrible gas pains in my chest and back that started yesterday. Any advice?
