    Just a quick thought

So I was thinking the other night. I recently took a trip to visit some old college friends that I had not seen in about 12 years. I was very excited about this. One of them was a female friend, and yes we were only friends. I had the biggest crush on her in college which she knew about, but nothing ever came from it. Well the night we all went out alcohol start to take its toll and we start talking. She tells me she is sorry for not liking me the way I liked her. I told her that she had nothing to be sorry about. it happens. We are both married now and in great relationships so there is no reason to be sorry. She still continued to apologize. She thinks that i still like her. I told her of course I still liked her but just as a really good friend. This leads to her telling me I was too NICE, and that I KNOW WHERE NICE GUYS FINISH!!!!! Now under normal conditions I would just let that slide. The next day while I traveled home I started to think more about the conversation. I think I was just used a lot during college, even high school. THe reason I say this is I AM ALWAYS THE NICE GUY. I think deep down this is what lead to one of my reasons for having the surgery. I was sick of always being the FAT friend, NICE GUY, Ect........ Granted I am married to a wonderful woman now but those were many of the thoughts that went through and continue to go through my head. Deep down I want to show them all. THe friend I had in college is still a great friend and we have talked about that night and think everything is good now. I told her how it made me feel and she apologized for it. Just some stuff I needed to get off my chest.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. It was just a hard thing to hear after 13 plus years, but it really made me think back to when I was in highschool ect........ It the long run I am better for it. I will always be the nice guy and that will never change.

    Need to get on track

I have been sliding from my diet and exercise since surgery. I am currently 3 months out and have gained 3 pounds back from my initial weight loss. I have partnered with a person I meet on Facebook that has had the surgery and we are helping each other out. I have been doing good the past 4 days, with eating right and going to the gym. I go in for a fill exam on the 4th of Nov so we will se what happens.
  12. Hey Cammie, How are things going?

  13. Hey KAT, Hope all is well have not heard from you in awhile. Things are going ok, I hit a major hurdle that I am trying to get over, and get back on track. Been doing good these past few days, and I go in for a check up on the 4th of Nov. Hope all is well and talk to you soon.

  14. Hey Michelle just checking in have not heard from you in awhile. Things are going ok, I have hit a major hurdle that I cannot seem to get over. I have started to get back on track these past few days and am hoping I turn things around. Also had a good eye opening experience with a old college friend a few weeks ago. more of a emotional experience than anything just helped me see things a little differently.

  17. I am just curious to know what some of the things in life you either want to do or hope to do with your weight loss surgery. For instance for myself some of the things I hope to do once I get to my goal weight are. 1. Cant wait to ride many of the Roller Coasters with my kids. I loved them growing up when I was a few years younger but since I gained a lot of weight I have not been able to enjoy them. 2. I have always wanted to go skydiving, and one day soon I hope to do that. 3. This one is more of a comfort thing for myself. I have always wanted a "sports car" With my weight loss I plan on getting a new Camaro Anyway I thought this might be an interesting thread so please feel free to share those dreams and goals.
  18. Hello Katrina, are you still on here. I was banded by Dr. Wagner on July 2nd just looking for some people in the area.

  19. Thanks for the comment :) I feels fantastic. I am at a stand still at the moment, but I go in for my second fill on Wed, so I am pretty excited about that.

    Honesty Please

OHHHH I am a guilty on on this  The morning I got my call to say I was approved I set my surgery date, I told them the sooner the better. I was told to start my clear liquid diet the very next day ( I was diabetic and had to do a two week all liquid diet ) Called my wife and said we are going to UNO's pizza for dinner. I had Pizza, Wings, a big ole dessert :seeya: I was a very happy camper. I must say that I am even more happy since I have had surgery. Just look at the weight ticker

    Rashes????

Hello, I had something similar on my stomach on the right side. I mean it itched bad. I didnt really pay much attention to it until I was to go in for my first fill I asked my Dr what it could be, and honestly told me he wasnt sure. He didnt think it had anything to do with the surgery. Told me to get some Benadryl cream and just keep an eye on it. Which I did, and in about 5 days it was gone. Not really sure what it was, but I got it about a week after surgery, and after useing the cream it went away. Just my two cents.

    Dr. Van Wagner - dr.wagner

You are very welcome. Keep in touch with how things go.
  23. One more thing, If you do decide to go through Dr. Wagner he has free seminars that you must attend first before he will meet with you. That would be another great way for your husband to get information. There are a lot of people there that attend. There are also useally some of his patients there as welll that tell their story. I chose Dr. Wagner becasue of his expertise in the field he did the first one ever in St. Louis and has done well over 800 lapband surgeries. He just recently started doing the Single insicion which means I only have 1 scar inside my belly button.

  24. So do you live in the St. Louis area?
