I was a chubby kid, very slender teen and slender young adult. I put on a considerable amount of weight after children but lost it all--back to my slim high school weight by dieting. Over the years I slowly put the weight back on and have been unsuccessful at losing it or keeping it off. Dieting over the years has helped me balloon to an unhealthy weight. I am relatively active, just not good at restricting the calories long term-- required to maintain a healthy weight. I am blessed with great health and a healthy livestyle. I love to cook, travel and be active. I am hoping to use the band with my personal efforts (my active lifestyle) to achieve optimal health. I started this journey weighing as much as 296lbs (my weight fluatuates between 295 to 285). As early as 1 week post op, I have lost 10 pounds, and begun walking. Though this forum, I hope to be inspired, inspire and get support for this journey. Here is wishing you all great health!
