I am a 52 year old married woman from Texas who had lap-band surgery on August 19, 2008 I am at 5 1/2 months and have lost 51 lbs since then. From the time I started on my doctor supervised plan to get insurance to pay for it I have lost a total 81 lbs. The ins. co. approved it immediately because I was 5' 10" and 330lbs with diabetes, hypertension, and I had lost down to 304 before surgery. My last adjustment was 2-2-09 and I have 4.5 ccs in my band. I would like to message with women my age to discuss strategies to reach our weight goals. My goal is 175 at 5' 10". 74 more lbs needed to lose.
