  2. Happy 35th Birthday amitjogi!

  3. Hi! This is Amit Jogi, 31 m, from India. Had my lapband done on the 9th. Needless to say, it was among the biggest decisions of my life. It's good to be here among fellow-travelers on the journey to SlimLand. I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, AJ

One small Lapband, a Giant Leap for Me!

Have been feeling quite lousy these past two days since my lapbanding: the idea that I would be put on a compulsory liquids-only diet for a month is, to put it mildly, revolutionary; what is worse that nobody told me about it before the surgery. I was led to believe that I could eat the same kind of food, except that I wouldn't be able to consume it in the same quantities even if I wanted to because of the reduced volume of my stomach... Consequently: even though I don't exactly feel hungry, I can't really stop thinking about food, in fact more so than I did earlier. I guess the best way is to keep my mind occupied with other things... But thanks to post-op complications, even that isn't easy: first it was constipation, and with the Biolac (laxative) prescribed, I now suffer sporadic bouts of loose-motions that have compelled me to stay at home all day. Hopefully the next post would be more uplifting!
