I have been overweight my entire life and have tossed the idea of having weight loss surgery around for about 5 years. I only wish that I had the surgery back then because I look back on so many of the things that I have missed due to my weight from outdoor activities, travel and social activities due to my limited ability or the psychological impacts of being obese. The surgery is not a cure all, you have to put work into it. You can not just have the lapband surgery and continue you with your pre-surgery lifestyle. You must be committed to changing the way you eat entirely and daily exercise is not optional. I hope this information will help someone in their decision and if you have any questions, just ask. Good luck!
