Hi everyone My year is up next Sunday and I have 5lb left to my goal weight - It has been a good year and I feel like a different person and also people even treat me differently - so if anyone who is reading this and is thinking about getting a band - go for it
-
I agree with Barbara 465 and Eficka that once you have got the band you change how you eat - I always drunk bucket loads of diet coke with my meal and without - I would always drink with my meal and even today after nearly a year I am shocked at how little food I survive on and I am more healthly today than this time last year - good luck go for it - you will not regret it

Hi Telly Can I just say that you look amazing - well done I have one question - I am thinking of having a TT and would like to know how long from your operation day did you feel well again ?? and also from what you know now would you go through with it again

Hi I live in West London, I had my band fitted in February 2006 so far I have lost 54 lbs and I have 16 more to get to goal - I am delighted with the band - but reading this I am surprised at how few people from England have found this website -
:help: My hair is naturally thin and fine but I have noticed recently that I am loosing hair everywhere even when I scratch my head and few hairs fall out. I have just had my hair cut short and my hairdressers said I have lost hair down both sides of my head - can somebody please tell me how long this goes on for and will it grew back or do I have to visit the doctor or something

Just been reading your thread - I live in London England - so I can't help you - all I want to say is I am 51 years old and was banded seven months ago and It is the best thing I have done since having my kids - I feel great and I wish it had been about thirty years ago -
Hi Sugar plum I also live in England and have been banded - self pay - I will also want a TT next year when I have lost more weight - my question is if you are ready for the TT why do you have to wait so long
-
Thanks that is very kind LadyK - I have an appointment with my dietician on Friday so I will speak to her - I have not seen her for about three months due to holidays and moving house
-
Thanks for all your replies - I will have to sort something out even it means wearing a wig ha ha - what I don't understand is why my hair is falling out when I had the band fitted over six months ago ?
-
I also used to eat and eat for hours every evening and I would go to bed feeling really stuffed so I am very grateful for the band - with regards to cravings and overeating after the band some days I feel I just want to eat and eat and I look at other people eating lots of things the only difference now is that I might eat something that is wrong but it will only be a small amount so again I am very grateful to my band
-
You look fantastic and I am sure you will lose weight once everything settles down and you lose the tubes. Please keep us informed to how you are feeling. I am also thinking of having a TT maybe next Feb or March Good Luck
-
Well done skbishop - you were banded five days before me and I am only at 167 - so you have done really well -

I have just been reading this thread and think it is wonderful how you have all tried to encourage leenerbups especially funnyDuddies and Donna B. We have all been to this point where what we are going to wear becomes the really BIG issue. I think you are lucky to have somebody who loves you - good luck at the wedding
-
Unfortunately I have stayed the same - so I am going to the gym every night this week - I hope the rest of you have managed to lose something

Hi SRaeM this is cozzie I would just like to say how well you have done it such a short time. I feel like you that I am sliping back to my old ways as I am opting for crisps and dips and chocolate which I seem to be able to eat alot of. Also like you I have throw all my larger clothes out. I feel good now but really I have to think of the larger picture and I carry on to get to where I wanted to go - so good luck to all of us and have a nice weekend

Hi Dancer, I have just gone past 16 weeks - but I am finding that I really miss eating especially when I am sociallising with people - how do you feel about having the band now ? Do you sometimes wish you could undo it and try and eat normally cozzie
