  1. Will you tell me about the amount of food you could consume relating to your fills? Seems like you are doing great! I have only had one fill of 2.5cc and I am able to eat too much! No more weight loss for me since initial loss during liquid time.

I am afraid that my pouch is just too dang big and that fills wont change this.

    HELP!

  2. I am interested in knowing about your weight loss when you went on solid food.

My weight is not coming off!

After two months of nagging my doctor, I finally had my first fill of 2.5cc. I have never felt and restriction and this fill has not changed things.

I am disappointed that I can consume such a large quantity of food. I had hoped that this band was going to be my forced discipline so I could only eat 4 to 6 ounces. I can fit a full plate of solid food in my stomach!

After surgery, I lost 16 pounds from the liquid diet. That has been about it! I was banded January 5, '09

Please share with me how it worked for you. Did you loose when you went on solids? Did you have to wait until you had a certain amount of fill before you began loosing? I have a 10cc band. I fear my upper pouch is jsut too damn big and fear that the fill isn't going to make the difference.

Thanks for your time to write to me.

    Constipation

You lost 30 pounds since March 8???????????????????????????????
  4. I am thinking that my small uppoer pooooouch must be too BIG. I can consume a large portion of food. I thought this band was supppose prevent you from taking in more than a four ounces. This is not happening! I have had one fill. The docotr showed me the band openng and it is the size of a string! So, notusre why more fills will help. So now I am thinking that it is becasue my new pouch is just too dang big!!! My surgery was beginning of January 09. I lost 16 pounds right a way. Now I have lost maybe a few pounds more in a couple of months!!! And gained it back on vacation last week. I was expecting this banding to be my forced discipline since I do not have it on my own! Please help me understand what is going on.
  5. Eating soup before dinner seems to be the exact opposite of what you are suppose to do. Go for the protein and do not fill you pouch with liquids before or after eating. If you are concerned about what people think, then tell them yo are not very hungry and are just going to pick!

    I want to give up

Gosh! That all sounds very discouraging! Why not have more fills to further restrict intake? It takes 3500 calories to make a pound. If you did nothing, you would probably burn 1600 calories per day. So, the trick is to watch those calorie intake. Is your liquid calorie free? Fruit juice can really pack on the calories. This is like our last chance! Fill up and watch your caloric liquids! You must give it a go again! BandDiva!
  7. Congrats all you banded in January! I am amazed at the fast weight loss you have all experienced. I was banded on January 5, '09 and thought my 17 pounds loss was really something! Now, I am reading how well you all have done! Are you just having thimbles full of food? Exercising? As soon as I started having more than two tablespoons of food for a meal, the loss has pretty much stopped! It is worrying me... I have had not problem taking in food... I think that is some good news and bad news all together! Thanks for sharing... I will be following you all.
