I have a very caring, loving boyfriend. He says that he is attracted to me and I believe him, but he has issues with my skin at the moment when we try and become intimate. I am very sad about this and it's causing me a lot of emotional stress. He is also having issues due to the fact he feels this way and he doesn't want to. Damn some men with their visual needs lol.. I am still a long way out from having any PS so I only see this getting worse before better. Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions of how we can try and work through this period of time? Thanks :Dancing_biggrin:

:cursing::mad2::cursing: I swear to (insert your deity here) today if I could get my hands on my Daughter's biological Father I would punch him dead in the face for helping me get pregnant. I love my Daughter more than my life, but it's one of those days where I find myself thinking " Did I lose my flipping mind by having kids?" Seriously I'm considering having a two year old melt down in front of her Junior High graduation tonight just so she gets a taste of humility. LMAO that thought makes me giggle inside just a little... My hat off to all who live or deal with teenagers on a daily basis, we all need a hug or clubbed like a baby seal on days like this... To all you teens who are oh so much smarter than your keepers (ha) Watch it, we have forks and we can be mighty hungry bandsters lol.... Now where is that straight jacket smilie I need one

**I've been wanting to get one as well but I scared a little! Im also wondering do they double dip the 'spatula' in the wax or do they change! I've read that some women got an STD after a Brazillian Waxing because of the double dipping! Did some of you ear the same thing? ** Sweetie, I'm a licensed Nurse and Esthetician in Texas. If you ever see someone double dip even when they wax an eyebrow report it to the health dept. and don't let them touch you EVER... It is not sanitary at all... Now, I'm curious on this STD your talking about because I don't see how it could be possible at the temp. the wax was kept at. IMO that is someone who got the STD from another situation and choose to use waxing as a convenient explanation. Not saying that it could never ever happen but it's odd. I would be more worried about Staph from contaminated wax myself.. A professional should always have multiple sticks laying out on her/his cart or prep table. Always ask how they wax, a professional will never get upset for you questioning their procedures your safety... Ladies and Gents don't be afraid this will only hurt for a minute :tongue2: Have a lovely weekend

Help!! pouch stretching?
Handrews replied to LisaMarie65's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lisa, When did you have your surgery? From what you are describing it could just be strained abdominal muscles. You said yourself that you did strenuous yard work and Tylenol relieved your pain. If your surgery was in May then it could be that you've aggravated the port which is normally stitched to the abdominal muscles. When in doubt call your Surgeon's answering service and speak to the on call. Stretched pouch takes a long time of over eating the band abuse. Again if you just had your surgery you probable don't have total restriction yet so this is more than likely not your issue at the moment. Take it easy over the rest of the weekend (no sweeping or excessive bending ect.) If your symptoms change (nausea, vomiting, severe pain) call your Surgeon's on call or go to the ER immediately. Again, please be proactive in you after care and use the staff at your respective surgeons' office like they should be which is what they are there for. If you have major concerns call them and ask especially if you are still having issues with cramping or stitch like feelings on Monday. Take it easy and have a wonderful 4th!!:smile2: -

Anyone ever heard of a band "exploding"
Handrews replied to cookiebaby's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Um wow... I think we have urban "Band" legends afoot here !! I so needed this laugh this morning nice thread Girl, I applaud you for not laughing in that Nurses' face for making such a silly comment. "This one time an AGB exploded "..... LMAO You all have a wonderful day and giggle every time you think about this thread, I know I am -
Yes if you are in discomfort you should call and notify someone so that a decision can be made. I don't know what kind of post op teaching you received or didn't receive but let me share what we are told. When you go in for your fill it is important to drink a whole glass of Water before you leave the clinic. This is your test run to be sure your not so tight that you can not get water down. Now some folks have issues with cold water right after a fill because the stomach has had shock of the tightening of the band. So if the cold water doesn't go down they have the patient drink room temp. water. If that doesn't go down the patient gets a slight unfill right then and the water test starts over again. I would advise you never ever take the attitude of toughing it out. This is not a good rule of thumb when dealing with fills. Yes, tough it out when chocolate is whispering "eat me" from across the table, but not when your band is that tight immediately after a fill. Being that tight and trying to eat food could potentially cause you to get "stuck" then the real fun and games begin. Again, yes call them first thing in the morning. I wish you much luck and success in this journey.

Any pagan/ new age bandsters out there?
Handrews replied to Sunwyse's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sure got quite in here... Where have all the Pagans gone???? The Summer Solstice is around the corner so what are you all up to???? -
Absolutely not chica.. No alcohol before.. I wax for a living and those two do not mix.. You need to find someone who does waxing as there main service and you will be good to go.. Yes it does smart the first go around but if you keep it up every 4-6 weeks the hair will get softer and the experience will be less painful each session.. Good luck and have fun with it.. Get designs on occasion...

You folks are the best... I knew that there would be some of you out in the forum which could relate.. There is not just one thing she had done yesterday, it was a cumulative of about a week and I just had enough. Well, I think sitting for 45 minutes in the hot car only to find out she got on the damn bus instead kinda made me testy  which pushed me over the edge lol... The bus driver dropped her off at the nearest fire station and said I'll pray for you kid and hope to see you on your last day of school They are so frustrating at this age yet so amazing in all kinds of ways. Well, I didn't throw the two year old fit.. She received MVP for the year in Basketball last night, therefore this Mom lost her thunder quite a bit. Oh the materialistic one in my family is only nine so yeah in a few years I'll probable burn this forum up with my rants on the boy lol... I already have issues with him not understanding that I have one income and well he is to young to comprehend that reality of course.. Jack you made me laugh so hard ty Thank you all so much and much love to you all Heather

I made this tonight for dinner. I used the olive oil mayo and egg beaters. Now I went the real route on the bacon bits and I used asiago cheese but only 4 oz. It gave it a wonderful flavor.. This recipe rocked !!! I paired it with fresh cooked spinach with toasted pine nuts and garlic. Thanks for sharing it

Question about hot tubs...?
Handrews replied to eriden6222's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
agreed on both of those posts. Especially if it is a public hot tub. A quick call to the office staff to ask would be the safest way. If they don't have that type of post op information they will ask him/her directly. Good luck -
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad2:
-
That is an excellent question. While I don't have a great answer, I would suggest speaking to your primary care and also the surgeon. If the state is going to pay for your surgery and you are having financial issues he/she may have some suggestions. Protein powder is expensive unfortunately. I wish you the best with this journey

Yay you made it Woot Woot....

Well, most of the Co2 is out of my system. I still have some trapped behind my Left shoulder and no matter what I do it seems to stay in the same place. Other than that I feel pretty good. Sutures are looking great and only cause me slight pain when getting out of the bed or chair. I started my full liquid diet yesterday. I over did it apparently on the water last night and felt very miserable for a couple of hours. I don't think all of my nerve endings are awake yet because I don't feel hungry at all, but I eat every four or so hours to keep my blood sugar in normal range at least. I just drank my protein shake and about thirty minutes before that I drank about four ounces of tea. I am having a little discomfort but not like last night. I'm going to give my Nurse a call in a bit to see if I'm doing this wrong.
