Any Female Friends Now Treat You Differently?
SpiritDriven71 replied to 1970MaleJaxFL's topic in The Guys’ Room
I am recovering from a tummy tuck and hernia repair. Im 6 weeks out. My wife is protective of me, she does worry to an extent. But our sex life has taken to new heights. We are both enjoying my new body. Its unbelievible how i get treated now. People are alot friendlier to me. I lost 75 pounds plus 7 pounds of skin and fat taken off with TT. -
What is dificult is accounting for any hiccups that might arise. Im a month out from my surgery. I had a reaction to anitbodics about 4 days out. I broke out in hives and itched like crazy. I took almost a week for it to completely settle down. I had two drains flanked on my hips. My right drain came out ~ 1 week later. Though my left was still putting out a fair amount. It was kept in there for a few weeks more. The drains can limit you becuase of aggrivating it. Once both drains were removed, i gained alot freedom. Still down on energy and tight sore, but love my new tummy. I would take 3 weeks off from work depending what you do.

Imho.... i would research it. After loosing 50 pounds hanging skin was becoming odivous. Depending on ur age, skin may not be as elestic as it once was. I beleive anyone looking into wls, should take in account ps. Especially when it involves financial planning. I had a TT and hernia repair 4 weeks ago. The procedure was only partially covered by ins. There are certain creteia that needs to be met for ps to be covered. I just fell short of it on the ps side. Though with my hernia repair covered under ins i was able to stretch my dollar and save on ps.

SpiritDriven71 replied to IWANTBANDED's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
were you selfpay, or covered under insurance? I lost my insurance coverage -
I flew in for a wedding at the Phx Country club on Saturday Evening. I learned one of the Bride's sisters has a lap band. The Bride married my cousin. I am wondering if you are on here? I was the one that looked lost at the buffet area, wondering if I would be able to keep anything down. The Mashed potato bar saved me. Thank you to whose idea was it.

loosing Ins. Aug 1st, need fill doctor Philly
SpiritDriven71 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, I need to find a fill doctor. I am loosing my WLS coverage due to a Company buy out. The new Co. has an exclusion cause for WLS Health Ins. SO I am SOL with Ins. Thanks In Limerick -
I could be better. The company I work for was bought out. The new company's Ins. doesn't cover WLS. So I am uneasy about the future and my doctor visits. I am really bummed about it. I don't like the unknown and not being covered. The new Ins takes effect Aug 1st. I am trying to get an adjustment in before with xray to see how things are going. just really sucks about the INS.

The company I worked for had BCBS. I was covered, I had my Surgery 03/17/09.The company was bought out this month. The new Co.has Aetna POS II. They do not cover any Bariatric services . I just got off the phone with the Aetna Rep. It really depends on what your Company purchased in terms of Health Coverage. Call Aetna, your HR dept. and Docs office to find out.

got my 2nd yesterday... up to 4.5 cc in my 10 now. I had a yogurt last night for dinner. This morning tried to eat a scrambled egg with some cheese. I felt like PBing. So I had another yogurt instead. I am on a pureed diet until saturday. I get a better idea how things are going as this week progresses.

My 2nd fill is this Monday. I am looking forward to it. I hope it kicks start my weight loss again.

At what weight did you notice that your skin started to sag??
SpiritDriven71 replied to glamischick's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
At 50# I also started noticing it. On my upper arms. MY stomach looks like a train wreck. I had a prior surgery, I can't wait to Have PS. It's really the only area that really gets to me. -
I have my first fill April 27th. I plateaued for just over 2 weeks. I am surprised how much I can eat. I have a very slight restriction. It's been frustrating. I am trying to schedule my next fill for early june.

honestly believe my car mileage is better because I weight 60 pounds lighter. like 2,3 MPG better. I keep fairly good track of my fuel mileage. I am amazed at what I have recently getting.

Finally, broke my plateau this morning. I have been banging my head because I was a half a pound from breaking 60 pounds the last 2.5 weeks. Feel good to finally say I have lost over 60 pounds
