I’ll be honest with you. The first week was not easy. The abdominal pain lasts about a week but breaking old habits is the hardest part. I never realized how addicted to food I was until I tried to incorporate my cravings back in my life. You will quickly (and sometimes painfully) realize what you can and can’t eat. You will also have to listen to your body and stop immediately when you are full. Otherwise, your food will come back up. However, I have slowly lost 50 pounds in almost a year (most people lose weight faster) and I am happy with the results. I am able to accomplish the little things I have forgotten about. Yoga, jogging, even crossing my legs! I know that sounds silly but it’s those experiences that I feel blessed that I can do again. Good luck to you with your whole new journey.
