Well today is the day. Today I go to my PMD to talk to her about the lap band. So what am I doing up at 0300am? Watching Lap band procedures on the internet... Well might as well be fully informed. Hi, Im actually from California. Have not looked to see if my insurance will pay for some or part of the band yet. Will know more after my MD appointment. I only know of one person who has had the band personally so will have a better idea once I speak with her. Will keep you posted

Hi, I see that you are considering going to Mexico for surgery. I have been reserching this since October of last year. My insurace won't pay for it. Where are you from? I am from Louisiana. I found a surgin just over the Mexico border and he charges 6900. I hope to go in April. I would love to hear back from you.

I have to start by saying thank you for this site. I am still thinking about the band and I am making an appointment with my PMD for a consult. I am scared, excited and just plain confused. I have been looking thru pics and forums and getting most of my questions answered and even ones I did not think about..lol. The one question I do have but have not found an answer to is...can you see or feel the access port? :thumbup:
