I was self-pay, so I didn't have the insurance run-around. Wishing you well and hope things go quickly for you!
-
Good luck to you! Keep on reading posts and be prepared for the long haul. We are here to support you and we can all do this together. We are all on the same path to fitness anyway!

OFF SUBJECT: Have you ever made a Sandwich Ring with a bundt pan

It's gettting close to lunchtime and you people are making me hungry!!! -
My doctor prefers 3 meals and if necessary, one small snack. Seems to work for me. I find that if I eat more often, I actually get hungrier and have the "munchies", which just leads to grazing and weight gain.

Looks like I will be banded in October....

Congratulations! You are getting closer now. We will be here to help see you through! -
I am with Marimu. I weight every day. (Don't have the self-control to stop! LOL) My weight fluctuates up to 5 pounds at different times of the day. I have also decided that it only counts toward my ticker if it is down on Sunday. Somehow, that helps. Oh yes, and I have noticed a pattern where I lose a bunch of weight, gain 2 back and then lose it again quickly.

I love Curves!!!! I just joined a month ago and try to go 3 to 5 times each week. I really miss it on the days I can't go. I wish their hours were more extended, but I have been working hard on fitting it in. I lost 12 pounds the first month after my weight loss had plateaued for weeks.

Welcome to LBT! You will be on the losing side before you know it. :biggrin1:

I generally lead a boring life. Most of my interesting experiences have also stemmed from work: 1. Took care of Dolly Parton's neice when she developed leukemia. (Dolly and her sister look and sound amazingly alike!) 2. Delivered a baby 3. Sang "Wild Thing" with Faith Hill at the Children's Hospital in Nashville along with my best friend. She said we sounded great. 4. Attended the same church as Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith 5. Fell in love with my adopted daughter in a renovated monastery in Guatemala with volcanos smoking in the background.

Congratulations and good luck!!! You will do great!

I also went through a tough 3 or 4 week period where I kept losing and regaining the same two pounds. thought it would make me nuts. But now the scale is moving again, which increases my motivation and elevates my mood. DL, I love your tat. Hope your foot feels better soon. Keep going everyone. Every day we don't gain is a step toward progress.

Molly, keep going. We are all here rooting for you!!! I have finally made it below 290---289 to be exact! For some reason, that *8* was reassurig to see on the scale. It's like the border is moving furher away and I am safely out of the 300's for good. LapBandit, you are doing me proud. Everyone keep up the good work. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Went to Seminar - Things I didn't Know
MarcyD replied to cl_tx_42's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
As usual, DonnaB has summed things up beautifully. I was told a sip or two to wet my whistle was fine, but it is tricky not to keep going. I was used to gulping a lot of unsweet tea during my meals, so I am still relearning this behavior. I think I need a second fill, as my restriction isn't great yet (3cc in an 11cc band). But I am working out at Curves and losing, so I will hold out. Good luck with your journey, whatever you decide. -
Donna, I am a single mother to my adopted 3 year old. She came home from Guatemala when she was 9 months old. I was 37 when she was born. I am blessed in that my parents have retired and moved in with us to help raise her. I have found that, at 40, I have less energy than some parents, but that is also due largely to my weight and poorly-controlled diabetes. As I lose weight and my sugars are in better control, I enjoy her more each day. Is it worth it? So far, yes! I asked myself the very same question when I was debating giving up my comfortable come-and-go lifestyle as a 30-something physician to pursue an international adoption. I finally decided that I NEEDED her in my life as much as I WANTED her. We have been a blessing to each other, I think. Good luck and God bless.
