  1. Hi Wendy,

I'm supposed to see the doc tomorrow and then can "officially" start on mushies although, I've been incorporating them for the past few days because I can't tolerate the protein shakes anymore. But all in all feel pretty good too. Can't wait to start working out so I can really start seeing some changes. I get hungry, but get full really quick. How about you? Glad to hear you're doing so well.

  2. Hi Wendy,

I too am getting hungrier each day. However, I feel like I get full quickly too. How about you? I'm supposed to be on liquid till Friday then move on to the mushies, but the last 2 days I couldn't take in anymore protein shakes. I moved onto mushies 1x a day and then liquids for the remainder. Of course, haven't lost any weight this week. My doc says mushies for 2 weeks and then normal food after that - which is around middle of February. Not sure if I'll follow that. My stomach is itchy.

  3. Hi Wendy,

same here. I find that I get full really quick and then comes the gas - it just sits there. My ribs hurt today from putting pressure on them to get up. Other than that, I can't complain.

  4. 12 lbs is great WendyMary. I'm glad it's working out for you, last I checked I was down total of 10 lbs. I guess tomorrow is the big day for both of us - I pray that both of our surgeries and those on everyone on this board come out well. And my sincerest sympathy for you and your family. Stay strong and good luck.

  5. Hi WendyMary:

I went to the hospital today for pre-admission testing. I had an EKG and blood work done. I'm told I'll hear about the time tomorrow. Only 3 more days to go. Are you excited? I know I am - I'm sick of this liquid diet.

  6. Hi WendyMary:

I haven't had any calls from the hospital. My surgery was originally for the 30th of Dec. I changed it because I sing with my husband's band and had a show on the 31st. So I'm on track for the 19th. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, are you going to be okay for her funeral? Grief doesn't help with recovery. Well, if anything I'm here if you need support. Liquid diet - not good yesterday. Back on track today. How about you?

  7. Hi WendyMary:

Glad to hear from you. Don't know surgery time yet. Waiting 2 hear from hospital. Should know by Wednesday. Where are you getting your surgery again? I'll be in New Britain CT. Struggling with diet, but try 2 stick 2 it. I have 6 protein shakes a day - 960 calories and fill up my stomach with no calorie drinks and broth. First few days - very hard. Friday, great. Saturday stomach pain & diarrhea. Lost 7 lbs. don't worry about any weight loss right now, just stick to your diet as best you can. After your surgery, you'll see how the lbs just slide off ya.

  8. Hi Wendy, I too am scheduled for surgery on the 19th of January. This is my first time posting and am glad I found this site. I decided to share my surgery with only 2 people, my husband and a good friend. I just didn't feel like hearing everyone's opinions about how I should try dieting, exercise, etc. all the things I've tried and failed at throughout the years. I started my liquid diet on the 5th and boy am I having a hard time. I finally got sugar free jello and broth to help me through the day. The day is not so bad as I'm busy at work, but by 10:00 p.m. I want to pull my hair out for real food. So far, I've stuck to the plan, but it's not getting any easier.
