Yeah....i found my same month banders!!!! I am gonna get banded Feb.5,2009.I am overly xcited to start a new chapter in my life.Ive done alot of reading and after two years of fighting with my insur for approval,i have finally won!!!! I too know that this is "ONLY" a tool but am ready for taking those steps to make my life healthier n longer.Well all,i know we can do this:thumbup:!!!!! What a way to start off this year,huh? Wow...how xciting!!! I am gonna be banded Feb.5,2009 & my story is alot like yours.I am a mother to twin 12 yr old girls and a 15 yr old boy.I have been married to their dad for 15 yrs but because of my weight, Dads the "FUN" parent cuz he does all those things with em....I have let my weight keep me from doing ALL those FUN things with my kids way too long.....Good Luck!!!!

So xcited...i gotta buddy! Anyways, i was originally denied the procedure after jumping thru all my insur hoops.I have no major medical problem but my bmi is crazy high!(Its like 42 or something.) I was so dissapointd that i was denied so i started looking on line & found this obesitylaw.com.They helped me with my appeal to the insur. and with there help they got my insur to approve the lap-band.Oh ya,there was no charge to me!!! Not 1 cent!!!The company Allergen(they make the lap band device) pays em to help people like me...I guess if you have that high of a bmi u do not need any co-morbid problems.I am going to Dr.Takahashi at the south bay surgeons in Torrance Ca.Like I said been fighting for 2 yrs. so i can sooo help u with info! Well if your at least thinking @ lap-band you do have a START!!!!! A couple friends of mine have gone to that Top Surgeons in Beverly Hills & they got there approval in 3 months!!!! Hey Gabi! im a So Cal gal also & am being banded Feb.5,2009. ive been fighting with my insur. for approval for 2 yrs & with the help of Obesity Law, i have finally won!!!! Have u had ur surgery yet? if not, do u have a date?
