hey Megg....and everyone else waiting for the 24th.... I saw my doctor today and Im going to be seeing a therapist.. one that I talked to before..... Im having my last junk food day today.....movie night with la hubby:wub: soooooo pre-op starts on wednesday....I have tests on monday and meetings on tuesday.... then its really starting yeh!..... its all going to be done very soon....then were on our way baby!:smile2:

I was just wondering what you can't eat after you got banded.... Im thinking this will really help some people from eating something that gets stuck with most people.... SO Im asking you to write back and let me know what always gets stuck and what you don't eat because of it.... for example, if bread comes up alot I wont eat bread.... and so on... ....and wondering what you ate for mushies.... we need all the suggestions we can get!:w00t: has anyone tried weight watchers WW bread??? does that get stuck? ....what about pita bread??? have a great day peeps :smile2:

I have surgery on the 24th....my b'day is the 27th.... close!.... I guess we wont be having any cake this year.... aw wellie........ good luck...the 17th will be here soon! :smile2:

Maybe a little Anxiety??? .... thats what Im getting.... I had one panic attack... but mostly flutters.... it is getting better... and if you don't have Anxiety everyday...or are not on pills...then Im pretty sure they will go away! :scared2: I think it has alot to do with getting the 'date' ...the reality of it all! good luck with everything

All the same signs are flashing in front of my eyes ...everyday.... my surgery is march 24th...and Im thinking all the same things you are....Im scared ...nurvous.... but greatful to be getting this gift soon.... Its nice to hear that Im not the only one having doubts........ good luck on march 3rd... :confused:

so I read the Lap-Band® Complications forums before... but didn't really start to freak out until now... I think it is because my surgery is coming up soon.... OK erosion, slippage, port leakage and infection... and anything else that can go wrong is freaking me out.... When I get a cold I cough allot.. I have bronchitis and athsma and can't sleep for days when I get sick....will the coughing make my band slip???? what about gastro? we all just had it and I was throwing up for hours.... I have a three year old I will get gastro again....will this make my band slip????? anyone else thinking about this stuff???? ..... this is making me think of another WLS option...... I don't have much time.... I think I have more to think about????? or am I just freaking myself out????

oh... Megg....we both have to be on liquids for 2 weeks...... oh my my its going to be crazy.... I can have 4 bottles a day..(diabetic boost)..and water...thats it.....what about you???? Im sure were going to need allot of support through that kind of hunger...lol..... if you ever need to talk to someone who knows what your going through..... ...so I found out in October 2009 (already waiting about a year) that my surgery might have been in December... well that's not happening.... Then most likely it was going to be in January 2010.... so I called today and found out January is booked and she doesn't know about February yet...???? OK I'm really getting pissed about the wait and about not knowing.... I hate not knowing.... plus I went on a WW board and was really annoyed about how most people on the message boards have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to WL surgery..... they can say allot of negative comments with the wrong information??? I know when I make a comment about something I make sure I have my facts straight...... and I said 'most' because 90% of the comments were negitive and misinformed.... saying things like the 'easy way out' and after the surgery we will 'never' be able to eat regular foods again??? ... and alot more uneducated coments... it just made me mad... come on people get your facts straight!...... you know before writting them down and making yourself sound like an idiot.:willy_nilly: sorry about the vent.....

sooo after seeing my doctor and the nurse.... they both mentioned I really need to start to watch what I eat.... so I lost 10 lbs just by watching a few things.... gained it back in a few days.. what a surprise!....lol .... I was told my pre-op diet would be liquids (boost) for two weeks..... now, will two weeks on liquids be enough to shrink down my liver? ....what if I keep loosing and gaining like I just finished doing?....I do hope to loose some weight before my lap band..... but what if? :thumbup:

My surgery is in two in a half to three months away....... the nurse told me to start exercising now....and to watch my weight... (for my liver) ...what is the best foods to eat?? what foods should I stay away from???:cursing:

OK.....I saw my surgeon about 10 months ago..... told him I was 100% sure I wanted to get the lap band..... 10 months later (friday) I got my call back to go see him on monday (tomorrow) ..:thumbup:...so.... is he going to let me know when my sergury date is? ...when did you find out your surgery date? I guess I will find out tomorrow.....but Im just so excited!....and can not wait:lol:

Well I didn't find out my surgery date :cursing:....... but Im pretty sure it is sometime in January... so that is still a long wait.....but everything went well when I saw my surgeon... found out I have to go on liquids for 2 WEEKS!!! :cursing: wow....that will be tough!.....can't wait to start the process!

I just got my callback!..... I go see my surgeon monday morning....... I have been waiting for 10 months! Now what I would really like to know....is how long do I wait now? ...how much more time until my surgery? Im nurvous ....excited.... happy! and surprised...I thought I was going to have to wait until 2010 for my call....sorry if I sound so excited.....but I only told 2 pple.... reason is Im choosing NOT to tell pple........ no thank you...Im finally doing something for myself and I feel great about my decision....I don't need other people giving me any negitive feedback! I have my mothers sholder...and my hubbies..... thats all I need!:closedeyes:

congrats!!! I don't have my surgery date yet..... the waiting is whats killing me.... and I am very nurvous about surgery also... good luck on your recovery!

Hello everyone...I like to start off by saying all your stories and advice are awsome! I can't think of a question that hasn't already been asked or talked about.... sucess stories are great also! sooo Im in the early stage of the whole pro-op stages... pretty much saw my surgen once and was told that I am 100% covered! scared ...nurvous.... ecxited.... 99% sure Im getting it done! like I said in another forum...most of the time Im 100% sure Im getting the Lap band! Im sure I will be getting to know a few of you on here... my Name is Wendy Im 30 years old I weigh 290 lbs ...Im 5'5 ....and Im so ready for a change ....so ready to be healthy!!!!!! I have a husband and a 30 month old daughter....

99% sure Im getting it done ( 100% sure most of the time) ..... I wasn't to sure about it at first...everyone was soooo negative! ...so I told everyone that I wasn't going to get it done. I told my mom...husband and one friend that I really might do it.... and also told them not to tell anyone.... people just don't get it....and Im sure they never will.... I mean how could they ,,,they have never been this over weight! Im scared... nervous... and so greatful for all of you! this site has everthing you could possibly think of asking ....and more!!! I'v seen my surgen...just have to wait for the doctor to switch to a new office with my file and the process will start! I can't wait!!!!:thumbup:
