  1. OMG'sh I tried one of those bullets you told me about - GAG! I don't know how you do them, maybe theres some with a better flavor I can try.... search is on!

  2. When were you banded & where do you live?

woohooo, I did move the scale 0.8 this week. Of course you know I cant' tell any weight has moved, dropped, etc. BUT my husband this morning as I getting ready for work advised me that I need to get a new Bra (I know TMI:blushing:)! Go figure, as much support as he gives me, and he tells me this.

I finally got my gloves for kickboxing :boxing_smiley:last night & that pumped me up, I was jumping around the room like a Mexican jumping bean, especially when the "ROCKY" song came on, (or just in that Goofy mood) OH yeah it was on, of course I embarrassed my 13 year old, & I'm sure I was the talk of Sheriff department today. (That?s where my husband works, & the instructor / owner works w/ him) so the whole class is full of his co-workers law enforcement! BUT they all give me support, a lot - & that does feel good.

  3. I'm north of Memphis about 50miles. YES, this is band hell, if I havn't gone off on the doctor once, its been twice! I told them I did'nt sign up for this. But I am scheduled for another fill on the 19th, and then on the 5th of March. How much are you down?

  4. I do get enough I think, I'm drinking 100% whey from Bariatriceating.com twice a day, but I might not be getting enough calories, a total day is about 800? Not sure, I've got another fill scheduled for the 19th but something has to give, I got to get back into the bathing suit for the summer, and start racing my horses again!

  5. It's coming, slowly I think - I'm doing cardio kickboxing four times a week now, and the gym the other three, but I swear it not moving! I know it takes time, but ghee, when I'm working this hard at it, it should come easy right! You look great, I love your profile photo, its nice. K.I.T.

agreed, looking pretty hot! Keep it up!
  7. Ok, I got my first fill yesterday, but a little confused, am I suppose to stay fuller longer, eat less, what? I feel no different? I'm on soft food, but yet, I'm still hungry between meals, so I'm really confuse. Someone please explain to me?
  8. ohjuly7878 - you explained it much better than I did, thats how his Nurse Practioner explained it to me! You know honestly, your right - I might like it better not knowing, put my trust in him, just like I put my trust in him to place the band to begin with.
  9. Thanks Becky - No, seriously he would'nt tell me, he said that its not important that those are just numbers. He said that some people think they have to have the whole 10cc if the band holds that, and that he wants the body to realize when its full, etc. and does'nt want an indiviual comparing their fluids, etc because everyone is different. CRAZY I know isn't it! I've had more help on here then anywhere, thanks to the wonderful people who have "been there done that"
  10. Thank you, my doctor want tell me the size, or the amount he put in there, he said those are just numbers and should'nt count, go figure. Well let me correct that, he said the box read standard, when I asked him the amount of Fluid it could hold, his reply was, the box just read standard. But I feel no different today than I did before I got what ever he put in there yesterday? Thats what I was concerned with. Then the weird thing, I could taste it, the saline, from what I understand no one else has, so that worried me alittle. My husband said maybe I just smelt it and thought I could taste it, MEN....
  11. I'm in Tipton County, on the edge of the river. I'm so with you on the feeling, I can't tell anything, thats why I posted a thread what are suppose to feel like when you have a fill? of course no response yet. But I emailed the MD and advised him of this and went off about the fact that this is so far like any other diet so whats the difference and he has not responsed back yet, so I'm going to try to make another appt to more in there and see if that helps.

My biggest thing, I'm getting hungry between meals and thats whats so hard, not to grab something and snack on it. Granted I have been good, but it's taken alot more will power on that than I expected.

  12. Where in TN are you? My fill was extremly easy, a lot easy than I thought it was going to be, but I can't tell any difference, of course I'm not sure how or what I'm suppose to feel like, this whole course I've been perfectly fine, so I don't know if I'm suppose to get fuller faster, stay fuller longer, eat less, what the feeling is? And a weird thing, he (the doctor) told me if I need to come back next week, if not he would see me in a month? Whats up with that?

How was you first fill? and how are you doing with the band?

    Powder drinks

if you go to bariatriceating.com they have a sample pack you can purchase of all sort of protein. I like their 100% Berry and Whey powder, and also their Chocolate Mint Whey powder, its well worth the money, (its not the expensive when you enjoy the drink) but I mix the powder with Skim milk and drink away!

  15. :smile:Yes, I'm going for my first fill today, it was scheduled for Monday, but I can't take it, I'm starving so I called the doctors office and they told me to come on in! I excited and now nervous to the point that I'm sick!:bananalama: Wish me luck, and hopefully I can have them snap a few photos of the doing today, and I will post them!

    Getting my first fill today!

Just got back from my first fill! Yeay, it was so simple - he just had me push my belly up the ceiling and there it was, I did'nt feel a thing, I could taste it though, is that normal?

    Hello from Millington Tn

OMG'sh I work in Bartlett, and live in Tipton and I was banded on 12.30.08 and I used Dr. Woodman also, now I'm five weeks into it and I've called several times out of concern on things and speak with his office, they tell me I'm a worry wart, well yeah, I want this to work and make sure I'm doing the right stuff, thats what they are their for support right. Well I got feed up, and finally emailed him personally (thinking him being a M.D. would speak with me alittle more concerned or give me compassion) well, lordy guess what my response was from him. "Feel free to make an appointment. However, if you eat as instructed (3 small meals and a snack), low fat foods only, and REAL exercise as instructed, you will do fine. Laura should be contacting you today. Reread your instructions and we look forward to seeing you soon." Hello, Laura never called, and I had to call her. Its made me very discouraged, and I'm with him for the year as you would understand. Well I'm scheduled for my first fill on 02.09.09, and I've already cried several times since the band, and gosh knows he does'nt want to make me cry again....... thanks for the info on him, I wish I had it before I was banded. Keep in touch with me you tennesse people, I would love it!

Yes, I've also gotten them this way today. Wonder whats up??
  22. My mom has the bypass, she got it about 20 + years ago, & I have watched her struggle with eating & sitting in the hospital for things that get stuck, she has a lot of complications with her bypass, but then again my stepmother had it done 4 years ago, & she is doing great. So I guess its up to how we treat it. I understand it took awhile to put it on, BUT I thought the first month would have been easier.

Keep in touch - I wish you luck!!!!
