Well, I've made it to one month and I'm 30 pounds down! woohoo! I've had one fill already, which was 2 days ago..I've noticed some restriction, I've had a few encounters where I felt like I was going to vomit, I think only cause I was rushing myself and didn't chew carefully. But I'm so excited to lose some more weight..I have a lot more to go, but at least I have a great start. The first two weeks of liquids was really hard, and I ended up losing 25 pounds in those 2 weeks! These following 2 weeks have slowed down big time! 5 pounds in 2 weeks? Just doesn't seem like much, but I have to keep telling myself that I lost 30 pounds in 1 month..that's pretty freakin good! Talk soon with more updates!

Hey there! Just thought I would stop by and say welcome! It has taken me 10 months for the whole process to play out, I have my surgery on May 18th! I'm getting pretty nervous..being a few days and all...Hope to chat with you and answer any questions you may have. Take care!

still no date..sometime in april i'm hoping...so how long did you stay in the hospital? and the liquids sound like hell..lol..not looking forward to that!

wow lady..i'm scared...lol..you poor thing! it's good to hear what can happen though..thanks for not sugar coating it..and 15 pounds? that's insane! i kinda swayed away from my diet this past month..and just got strict again..i lost 5 pounds in 3 days...that was kinda weird! it must've been water weight or something?? i' m glad your doing better..must've been tough! who's taking care of you? luckily my mom will be available the whole time for me...take care! my name is jamie by the way..i don't know if i've ever told you? LOL

i'm going through the insurance requirements right now.(it's been a long process..ugh!)..but i am looking at getting surgery end of march or beginning of april.. i'm so excited to get it done! i've struggled all my life with weight..so it will be an awesome tool to help me lose and maintain!

that's awesome that your still losing..i'm still around the 25-30 lost since i've started the whole process..i keep cheating too...next week i have my 2nd nutrition appointment(insurance requirement) ..they are thinking i will be ready for surgery end of march /beginning april...it's getting closer! have a great day! take care.

hi there..i just saw your pictures and wanted to tell you congrats on losing 50+ already! im so ready for my surgery..probably wont be till april..just found out my insurance is requiring some extra stuff...bummed about that..but i'll get over it

i havent actually heard of him..where is he located? i just got a call from my center and it looks like my insurance in requiring a 3 month diet plan with a dietician. so frustrating!..at the beginning of the year, my employer decides to change insurance companies..(after 9 years!) just my luck! now i have all these new requirements...like the 3 month thing..i'm so sad...i just want it done now! lol

This seems to be the right tool to get healthy and to keep weight off. Right now I'm very close to banding. I've gone through the seminar, the consultations, psych evaluation, dietician appointment, and now I'm required to take 3 nutrition classes. After that, I'm hoping to get more of a set date for the surgery. I'm really looking forward to meeting new people and sharing our experiences. If there are any Oregon bandsters..especially in Eugene..Let me know! I'd love to chat!:confused: -

summer of 2008....and i think its just taking forever cause the weight loss center is so busy! it's a bit frustrating..but maybe i'm just being impatient? my bmi is 48..so that's not the problem..lol

Yeah, I did do the psych evaluation and just got my acceptance a month an half ago..But my consultation with the doctor (which was this last summer )is when I started to lose the weight..I guess I shouldn't have started so early..lol..cause it has been tough keeping it off.

Hopefully it won't take too long. were you required to lose weight when you started the process? they told me to lose 15 lbs..i did, really fast..but it has been hard keeping it off all these months..
