You may want to try making your food less 'mushy'. The reason your still feeling hungry is because the food is too fine to sit in the top pouch. Eat very slowly, do not drink 30 mins before or after your meal and listen and feel for the early signs of fullness. I tend to get a sort of gurgle which is accompanied by a quiet noise when food/drink slides down into the second pouch. I dont know how long youve had the band, but instant mashed potato with bisto gravy is one of my favourites just now and it sits in the top pouch quite well. At 3 weeks post op I have a minor fill - dont have much restriction yet but am hopeful my next fill will give me more.
Was also wondering how many calories people eat? Im at 6/7 weeks post op and with minimal fill, Im eating 500 cals a day. Anyone got anything to feed in on that? Im struggling to get referred to a dietician at my local GP. My weight loss so far has been dramatic however suffer from dizziness and feeling light headed when I stand up which I think may be due to my high blood pressure coming down and loosing the need for the control meds.
Cheers and good luck!
Craig.
