Hello Is there anyone in Oklahoma getting banded? I really love this support system. The only problem is that I have not seen anyone from my state on here. I live in Tulsa Ok, getting banded on 3/30/09, I am getting pre-surgery jitters....:cursing:

Hi Xandriacharlee, Copy and paste your URL information off of the ticket page and paste it in your signature. I think that is what I did. I have been very afraid to eat scared of things getting stuck, I have tried, eggs, fish and chicken. I would really like to eat some steak. I am really struggling with getting enough protein and calories in a day. Are you drinking protein shakes everyday?

Hello everyone......I had surgery on 3/30 my stomach is bigger now than it was before surgery. Is this true for anyone else,my stomach just seems so big and bloated. This is the MAIN part of my body that I want gone....

Does anyone have this issue. After I eat no matter what it is I burp for about 15 mins. It drives me crazy.

shoes I was just banded on 3/30 and I keep getting a weird feeling off and on just like that. Hi Laura hate you had to go thru all of that today, so how did the fill actually feel or were u numb?

I just wanted to give everyone an update. I am on day 7 banded on Monday 3/30. I just wanted to post this so if anyone else goes thru what I went thru they will know u will get thru it. The first 5-6 days WERE pure hell for me, I MEAN I HURT bad, but guess what I woke up today and I feel WONDERFUL. SO just remember if you have the surgery and are feeling MISERABLE it will pass keep your head up.....Conetha:thumbup:

Hey laura, thanks for all your help. I was banded on monday 3/30 so I am one week post op. I went to the doctor on friday and he stated it was ok to start yogert so I figure if it is ok to start yogert, per their sheet this part of my week 3 items. My doctor stated 2 weeks post op clear liquids only. weeks 3 and 4 soft foods like, yogert, eggs, vegetables, soups, refried beans etc. I figure if he is allowing me to go ahead and start yogurt which is part of week 3 and not week 2, I should be able to go ahead and proceed with all items on week 3. I guess what really confuses me is that all of the docotors are so different with the rules, it seem that it would be just one set.

Laura thank you thank for you message, I do not care how long it was...It was very informative!!!!!! Laura were you told to be on liquids for one week or 2 weeks after surgery? I am trying to figure out what the big deal would be if I started my mushies.

Hi all, I just wanted to update everyone. I am feeling so much better when I posted the other days 2 days post op, I thought I was not going to make it. I feel so much better I can sit up and not feel dizzy. I guess I am on the road to recovery. Counting the day of surgery 3-30 I am 4 days post op....and finally feeling a little better towards the road of recover

HELP I was banded the morning of 3/30 and I AM IN SOOOOO MUCH PAIN....was anyone else like this? They say to walk but I can barley get out of the bed without hurting and feeling dizzy, I have thrown up 3 times....Please help me, anyone have any tips.

I was banded this morning, please tell me I did not make the wrong decision. I am hurting so bad, I do not want to discourage anyone but I need some help, I am hurting hurting, I can barley walk. I have threw up 3 times, please someone help me. Did anyone else feel this way? Does anyone have any tips for me

Amy thanks so much for the feedback. I like the idea of snowcones. It is just so hard with 5 children and a husband I keep smelling all that good food.
