Lol well... it hurt first off. They use a needle thats about 4 inches long and as thick as a piercing needle like a 14 gauge. Well after they stick you, you can watch on the x-ray machine the liquid going in. They make you drink that nasty barium to make sure everything goes down ok. I got 3.5 cc's in my band. Now when they took the needle out i swear that hurt more going in. I hope for you they numb the area b/c yea i'm a baby when it comes to that stuff but really that was no prick, it was more like a bee sting! I do feel the restriction a little but not as much as i thought i would. They said that i should be eating 4 oz of food total each meal, but i'm still eating more than that like 6-8 oz. I hope I didn't scare you! I'm sure you will do better than me!!

Iwalktheline, I technically only lost 16lbs post op too. I lost 9 of mine during the pre-op. Don't get discouraged! We're all doing great!!!!

That fill hurt! Maybe I'm just a baby, but it stung really bad. I don't feel a difference yet but that may be because I was on liquids yesterday and I start pureed food today. My doctor was the one who told me to get the fill, in fact all his patients are to come in on their 4 week post op to get filled. Congrats to you too Babe on your 25lbs!!

Well the fill hurt. They lied lol! They put 3.5 ccs in. I don't feel a difference yet I guess because I'm on liquids and I start pureed food today. Maybe when I get to more solid food I'll feel something. I know what you mean by being busy. I still haven't been able to hit the gym.

Good Morning Everyone! Well I got my first fill today and honestly, it kinda hurt a little. I got 3.5 ccs and I have a 10 cc band. So I'm back on liquids today and its not so bad and my total weight loss is 25 lbs!! Yay! I'm down to 222 as of today! I guess me getting strict after that cake helped.

Hey Ashley, Well you just got banded so you probably won't feel any restriction yet. Most people have no Fluid or very little fluid in their band to start off. This time until your first fill is meant for healing. Be careful you're still making the right food choice, eating Proteins first and not drinking anything 30 mins before and after eating a meal. It should take you about 20-30 mins to eat too. I am the same way right now, I feel like I can eat anything except if I don't chew well I do PB a little. I get my first fill next week and to be honest these last two weeks I haven't lost anything. I blame some of the poor food choices I made and that I'm not as active right now. Just be really careful and try to follow what your surgeon says. (key word there "try") Good luck to you! -
