Hi,
Sorry...been a long time since I've been on here. I have lost only 55lbs since surgery. I was 289 before surgery and am at 233 now. I am sort of disappointed because the Dr. tells me that, that is a little slow...but I also have to admit I haven't been following all the rules either. I just cannot find a protein that appeals to my taste buds....they all make me nauseaous (sorry for the misspelling). So, how are you now? Did you meet your goal yet? Do you have a lot of lose skin or any advise on how to keep it tight? Any advise on anything? I need all the help I can get. Not sure how to move this along. I work out at the Gym 3 times a week for an hour ... but I don't do protein drinks and don't drink much water.

I was having terrible reflux and was eating chewable pepcid with every meal. I couldn't sleep at night was up coughing and vomiting up black tar stuff. lost 25lbs in a month. not good...couldn't keep food down most of the time. So having all kinds of trouble... finally started to get week and have pain. Went in and doctor did upper GI and found that my stomach had actually herniated through the band. (the bottom part of stomach started coming through the band) So not an actual slip. Doc thinks that the problem was caused because the band was not at perfect placement when originally put in. So new band on Tuesday. I can't wait. I feel like hell.

You asked why I was getting a new band. My band has slipped and I have to have it replaced. I have surgery on Tuesday. Thanks for the comments about my pics... Progress had been good before the slip.

Thank you for sharing the pix of your journey..your pix are by the far, the most inspiring I have seen all night..and I have looked at 39 pages thus far....
Good luck to reaching the final goal.
I am being banded on Friday. 9-4-09! Only 75-80 to lose, but it all counts in the big pix of getting healthier.
