This is what i am.....this is what i have become

I totally understand where you are coming from, but please don't let your anger overshadow this achievement - you should feel proud. I have told a few trusted friends about the band, because I want their support and understanding, but as far as everyone else is concerned I am simply on a diet and eating less. They don't need to know about the band. You may not be able to forgive people from your past, but don't let their behaviour impact on how you build relationships in the future - give people a chance otherwise you will be unhappy and no-one wants that.
  2. Hi all I'm Natalie, 35, single with no kids. I'm British - living in Surrey (just outside London). I was banded on 21st Jan and all is going well so far.

    stress eating

My pre-op diet starts on Friday and I am eating everything in sight - survival instinct has kicked in just in case I starve during the next three weeks, which is unlikely due to all the reserves I have!! I'm not a stress eater - I eat for every emotion . I cannot wait to start the diet, because I will feel that my journey has properly started x

    January '09 banders

I'm getting banded on 21st Jan in Surrey, UK. Good luck to all
  6. Hi Debbie Thanks for this. I contacted my dietician this morning; he thought he had sent me the pre-op diet, but forgot due to holidays. I now have it, so feel much happier. Only 3 weeks tomorrow - I am getting excited. I've just chosen my outfit for NYE - I only hope that next year's outfit will be a lot smaller!!
  7. Hi all - I am 34yrs old, I live just outside London and I am due to be banded on 21st January - scary :huh2:. I start my pre-op diet on Thursday, so I would be grateful for any suggestions of what to eat - is it totally fat-free, or are we allowed a trace of fat? I am really excited, but I am also very nervous. I have told very few people, but the ones I have told have been very supportive. I am looking forward to 'speaking' to you all and taking this journey with you. :tongue2:
  8. I hope you don't mind a Londoner joining the mix - I am having my op on 21st January - very excited, but I am quite scared! My pre-op diet starts on Thursday and I am not sure what to eat - any advice? Is it totally fat-free, or are we allowed a trace of fat? Not looking forward to the build-up, but I am looking forward to taking positive action against my weight. x :tongue2:
